June 2025 inflation: 2.7%

The second half of the sentence said it did not keep up with inflation it trailed inflation by several points, we was the entire country, but I didn’t cry, I stated a fact. You need to quit the pot, it’s affecting your reading comprehension.

Be careful when you say WE

Household wealth swelled at a record pace during the pandemic. From 2019 to 2022, the median net worth of American families (WE) jumped 37% to $192,900, after adjusting for inflation. It’s the largest increase ever recorded by the federal Survey of Consumer Finances, released last fall. Surging home values and rising stock ownership fed the surge.

Many of the people you describe stayed where they were during and after covid. They did not look for new jobs which were out there. Most people (WE) who looked for another job make more than WE did before Covid. Most people who stayed put didn't get raises that kept up with inflation. Talk to the CEOs of their companies.

I'm sorry YOU aren't doing better

There's still a significant wage gap between college graduates and those with less education. In 2023, young men with a four-year degree earned $77,000, while those with only a high school diploma earned $45,000.

also google the causes of inflation. I promise you the top 5 reasons for it aren't

1. Biden
2. Biden
3. Biden
4. Biden
5. Biden

But what's causing inflation now? Gas prices, beef, the stuff I sell. It's directly Donald's fault and you continue to defend it. You never defended Biden. But you claim you didn't vote for Trump. Huh

Learn to ******* read, inflation is currently at 2.7% it was at 3% when Biden left office.

Trump left the office in 2021 at 1.7% and under Biden it went to 9%.

Do you know how to read?
Listen. Don't believe the fake numbers you are repeating. I just got hit with a 8.50% tariff on a $12,000 order on Tuesday. That's an extra $600 the price just went up. This ******* week! Just wait a month and then tell me the fake ass number you see.

All she does is lie.
Who AI?

Whether inflation went down when Trump took office is a nuanced issue with different perspectives.
Some argue that inflation did ease during the initial period of his term:

  • The annual Consumer Price Index (CPI) eased to 2.4% in March 2025, after being higher earlier in the year.
  • Data from the US Inflation Calculator indicates that the inflation rate in January 2017 was 2.5%, falling to 2.1% in January 2018 and reaching 1.6% in January 2019.
  • The White House stated in June 2025 that core inflation remained at levels not seen since the first Trump Administration, suggesting price stability.
However, other sources offer a different view:
  • Inflation rose unexpectedly to a six-month high of 3% in January after Trump took office.
  • Trump's economic policies, including trade tariffs, tax cuts, and lower interest rates are increasing inflation.

June 2025 inflation 2.7%, up 0.3% from 2.4% in May, as per expectations.

Boy those tariffs... they're killing us.

Gotta say, though -- with graphs like this, you'd think inflation spiked in June.
They sure are trying.

This marks a rise from the previous month's 2.4% and is the highest level since February, according to Trading Economics. The increase is largely attributed to the impact of tariffs implemented by the Trump administration, with businesses starting to pass on increased import costs to consumers

When Biden left office it was 3%, it is now 2.7%. Not sure what you’re smoking, but where did you come up with 11%?
In conclusion, there's not a clear consensus on whether inflation definitively went down after Trump took office. While there were periods of lower inflation, some indicators suggest an initial increase, and concerns were raised about the potential inflationary impact of his economic policies. It's crucial to consider various data sources and analyses when examining this topic.

Inflation already kicked our ass and was under control when Trump took office. We were looking for him to lower prices like he said he would. He did the exact opposite. Now you say inflation is back on the rise? Not cool. Especially for uneducated blue collar Americans who were already struggling under Biden. So Trump is not MAGA for them. Only for you and Billionaires. You and M14

Its not going down. Its going up, month over month over month.
You didn't read the chart. It was 3% in January. That's lower than then!

You better stop posting and get back to those dishes! The front is running low on silverware and glasses, Sink Worrier!

Let the people with a brain and education do the thinking!

Think real hard why it would do that with a demand and supply side economy?

You guys are celebrating inflation increasing. Thats nuts.
I'll suffer some inflation when the return is bringing jobs back to America.

These moves will reap benefits for 50 years. Try to be less myopic and take a longer view than the end of the week.

At least it is not 9% like under Brandon!
Did prices ever come down? So Trump never lowered that 9% like he said he would. In fact he added another 2.7%?

Trump was tossed out of office after the first stimulus he sent everyone. Remember that? Didn't that stimulus cause inflation that you are now blaming Biden for?

Trump's original CARES Act the bill grew to $2 trillion in the version unanimously passed by the Senate on March 25, 2020.

Trump haters / Democrat sheeple are on no position to criticize Trump for inflation when their guy/gal President gave US the worst inflation not experienced in many lifetimes. Worse, Biden-Harris tried to blame Trump and business for inflation that spiked well into their term (‘22).

What an idiot. You will pay an extra 8.5% tariff on EVERYTHING just to bring some jobs home?

If you were smart you wouldn't tariff everything and every country. You would only tariff the things you truly want to bring home. What are those things?

Ship building
Chips
Car Manufacturing
Pharma Manufacturing
Iphones?
What else?

Not everything you morons! Trust me, these jobs that come home aren't going to fix the struggling blue collar Americans as much as you think. Most of those jobs will be automated btw. So congrats. You just made some American corporations happy at the expense of ALL OF US.

The funny thing is, we told you guys to do this in the 1980's when Republicans came up with NAFTA. NOW you want to go back to the way things were?

And we have always done free trade with other countries. It was never a problem when it was just shoes or other products we don't want to make here at home.

Electricity prices across the United States have been climbing in 2025, despite President Donald Trump's repeated pledges to reduce energy costs.

Why It Matters

Ahead of last year's election, Trump said in an opinion piece for Newsweek that his administration would "cut energy and electricity prices in half within 12 months" for both businesses and American families. He has blamed former President Joe Biden's administration for contributing to energy price hikes.

Trump haters / Democrat sheeple are on no position to criticize Trump for inflation when their guy/gal President gave US the worst inflation not experienced in many lifetimes. Worse, Biden-Harris tried to blame Trump and business for inflation that spiked well into their term (‘22).
And yet with all the inflation that covid caused, the USA did the best for the last 4 years. Every other country struggled more than we did. And our home and 401K values went up up up.

We know Biden isn't solely responsible for inflation that happened on his watch. Trump said he'd lower prices. We KNOW that Trump's policies are causing inflation. So you can blame Trump for what's going on today. Again, I sold something for $12K and had to charge my customer an extra 8.5%. That's an extra $600 bucks. Biden never cost my customers this much. Get out of here with that shit.

And what will you say if next month you see inflation go up 8.5% on everything you buy? Will you THEN admit Trump is to blame and has to go? Or will you make excuses and justify it?

You'll say "it's going to bring jobs home". And maybe it will.

You will pay an extra 8.5% tariff on EVERYTHING just to bring some jobs home?
Yes. And so should you.

When Bob at the plant gets his check, he buys a new pair of boots from the boot shop, goes out to the bowling alley, pays his rent, gets his oil changed, buys lunch at the diner...and that money goes into and out of the hands of many other businesses and employees in the community and the nation.

When we send that money to Guangzhou, China...it's gone. The boot store closes, the bowling alley closes, the diner closes and the tire shop closes.

Facts. I've seen it happen with by own two eyes. Luckily, after President Trump was elected in 2016, manufacturing reopened in my town. And slowly the the town came back from the brink. And now we are thriving again.

Even expanding with new restaurants and shopping.

I want the same for EVERY town.

Cause believe me, there is nothing sadder than a whistle going off at 7 am, noon, 1 pm and 5 pm every day for seven years in a town with no factory to go to work at.

OMG you are explaining to you what I've been explaining to you for decades. You're a little late.

And okay fine. I agree with you. Now, let's do it sensibly. Not tariff the entire world and chase our trading partners away. You do know Canada is boycotting us right? Do you also know that Trump is running off Japan to China? While he brags to you that he just made a deal with Japan, that doesn't mean Japan is going to necessarily buy from us. They hate Trump so much they'd rather do business with China. And Japan HATES China. But they hate Trump more. So Japan made a deal with China. Said they will buy more rice from us. Let's see if they do.

So now under your scenario we now only sell to Americans and we only buy American. Sounds to me like profits are going to drop. So I doubt wages are going to go up.

Every time a Republican is in office manufacturing in Michigan goes down. Sales go down.

What town do you live in? What are you guys known for manufacturing? For example the other day a guy from Oxford, MI told me they were known for gravel.

It was once known as the "Gravel Pit Capital of the World" due to its gravel mining industry, which has since transitioned to include recreational lakes and wetlands.

What town do you live in?
