June 2025 inflation: 2.7%

:badgrin::badgrin::badgrin::badgrin::badgrin::badgrin::badgrin:
You've been saying that sine the beginning of April.
It just hit me on Tuesday. July 22. For the last 3 days I've been adding 8.5% to what I sell. Guess what stupid? The day has arrived. Are you saying these increased costs to corporations isn't going to be passed on to you? My how your positions shift.

Are you an uneducated blue collar worker hoping this is going to bring your job home?

You guys are celebrating inflation increasing. Thats nuts.
Democrats when Biden was president said inflation was not that bad, I guess it depends on who the president is. In fact Democrats were pissed when Sinema and Manchin blocked a $6.4 trillion bill that would have sent inflation into double figures. Crazy what party loyalty does.

Oh how come any time Republicans are attacked you immediately do this?

People got inflation raises. Today during Trumpflation no one's hiring. Employers don't like the uncertainty. And don't forget the Great Resignation happened under Biden. Plenty of people got promotions because millions of millionaires in their 50's retired.

Remember what Republicans said last year. They worried about uneducated blue collar workers. People who didn't have 401K's or homes. They were going to lower prices and raise their wages by running illegals out and bringing jobs back home through tariffs. So far it's just costing us all more $.

And M14 Shooter doesn't believe I got this letter on Tuesday

Subject: Tariff Surcharge

Dear Valued Customer:

We greatly appreciate your continuing business and your trust in our company and the opportunity to work with and support you. As a result of new and evolving tariff policies in the United States and the related challenges placed on the global supply chain, our costs have increased considerably. To offset a portion of these costs, and to do so in a way that minimizes the economic impact on our customers, we initially imposed an 8.5% tariff surcharge, but only on a limited number of products. Recent developments in the tariff rules, however, have reluctantly forced us to broaden the application of the tariff surcharge to cover a wider array of products. We have not taken this decision lightly, have carefully considered alternatives, and recognize that this news isn’t ideal. This surcharge will continue to be reflected separately on our invoices and other documentation. We will continue to monitor the rapidly changing situation and will, as always, try to be honest, fair, and reasonable with you. Again, thank you for your trust and understanding.

Sincerely,

Go **** yourself M14. Trump is costing you bigly and you don't even know it yet. I suspect even when you realize it, you'll bend over and accept it. I mean you don't care that he's a pedo so....

But this is your pocket book son. Maybe you're one of the losers who hopes illegals being gone will raise your wages? Or maybe you are waiting for Trump to bring your job back? The one Bush sent oveseas in the 2000's? Didn't you vote for Bush?

We didn’t get inflation raises, the raises trailed the inflation rate. I know you like 9% inflation, I’ll take 2% instead, good luck.

Money printing continues to devalue the currency, just not as fast as in previous months.
The private corporation we call the Federal Reserve decides when we print money. They spend with reckless abandon and print money (devalue our dollar) whenever they want more of our money. They have made horrible investments, and they are broke. Now they want us to pay for a "remodel" of 2 of their buildings for a whopping 2.5 BILLION dollars.

They have never done anything positive for our country. Nothing. There is no reason for them to have any control of our finances. They are a parasite that we need to get rid of.

Inflation was in check before the election. The Fed had it under control. So all Trump's policies did was make it 11%. But sure you can look at it that way. Most MAGAssholes like you spin it like this.

All this talk and hype about "Day One" have come and went, prices are still astronomically high.

June 2025 inflation 2.7%, up 0.3% from 2.4% in May, as per expectations.

Boy those tariffs... they're killing us.

Gotta say, though -- with graphs like this, you'd think inflation spiked in June.
They sure are trying.

When Biden left office it was 3%, it is now 2.7%. Not sure what you’re smoking, but where did you come up with 11%?

But Papageorgio has a new spin on it. First of all, what he said is ridiculous. It assumes Biden is solely responsible for 9% inflation. And by the way, the USA had the least amount of inflation and the best economy of all nations the entire time Biden was getting us through the crisis Trump shit the bed trying to deal with. Compared to every other nation America is and was doing great. And look at all the union workers across America who got good raises with Biden's support. Trump would not have supported those blue collar workers. No way.

But Republicans pointed to the debt. They aren't doing that anymore.

And they were concerned for uneducated blue collar workers. The ones being hurt the most by inflation. They were going to raise their wages and lower prices on day one. Drill baby drill? My gas is still at $3.20something a ******* gallon. Beef prices are up and on Tuesday my supplier just announced a 8.5% tariff on all their goods.

Republicans are so ******* stupid. Papa you included. Oh yes you are a GOP idiot.

Papageorgio doesn't believe a lot of us got inflation raises. I did. And lots of people got promotions during the great resignation. There really isn't any reason why you should be making as much as you did before covid, now. You should have looked for another job. If you didn't, that's on you. Then we have to start asking why should your current employer give you a raise? You're loyal. Fact is, people who switch companies make more. Staying put is a personal decision Papa made and now he cries that he didn't get a raise.

Where did I cry about not getting a raise? Please proof it or admit you lied, again.

You are the idiot that thinks inflation is currently 11%! lol! What an idiot! Smoke your pot dumb ass

If inflation went up 9% from the end of Trump's first term to Jan 6th 2025 and you're telling me it went up another 2% in just 6 months, isn't that 11% total?

And if inflation goes up 2% every 6 months for the next 4 years that'll be 16% in 4 years.

What Trump hasn't done was lower inflation. He said he would. Why do you accept he lied? Oh yea, because all politicians lie. Now spin the conversation to Hillary and sniper fire in Kosovo

No Bidflation raise for me.

Now, about your supplier charging you 8.5% more. What if you passed all if it along to your customers and your business dropped off? Would you decrease the amount you purchased from the supplier? What if your supplier asked why you weren't buying as much and you told him because you can't take all of the 8.5% increase and passing it all to the customer decreases your sales? Would they cut their prices to retain your business as you would likely do to retain your customer's business? What if your supplier went to the manufacturer and told them that their purchases would drop off due to lower demand unless they ate some of the "tariff" increase? Do you really think most oversees manufacturers are willing to lose their US consumers? Unless you sell necessities, the power of the US consumer ultimately wins. In the long run, that 8.5% gets spread out from manufacturer, to wholesaler to business owners to consumers. US consumers will not pay all of the increases from tariffs. That is a falsehood.

Well then it's a falsehood that if you give all your employees a raise that it's all going to get passed on to consumers. Or it's going to cause inflation.

Do you remember after our supply chain problems eased up companies didn't drop their prices? Why didn't they? Because we continued to buy just as much as before even with the higher prices.

And business', like restaurants right now are having a problem. Things cost too much so they have to charge too much. So we aren't going. So they are closing. When are prices going to go down for restaurant owners? Before or after they go out of business?

If you own one of our machines, you almost have to buy the expensive stuff from us/them. There isn't a competitive version made here in America. These things should not be tariffed. But my customers may shop some American made companies for the little stuff. I might lose to an American manufacturer on those things. Or maybe my supplier might move a manufacturing facility to America.

What sucks is I argued for tariffs and make in America back in the 90's. Republicans got Bill Clinton to stab workers in the back and sign NAFTA. NAFTA was a done deal by the time he was in power. He just signed it but it was already in place pretty much. And he put some worker/environmental protections in that I'm sure Bush removed before sending all those jobs overseas in the 2000's. So what did I do? I adapted and went along with global trade. Free Trade. Republicans sold us on Free Trade. Remember? Now that we have all adapted to the new rules, 25 years later they want to change back? Make up your ******* minds!

And I don't even think bringing all those jobs home is realistic. We're at pretty low unemployment numbers right now. Who would work these jobs? How much will they pay?

You said you didn't get an inflation raise. I'll quote you:

I don't know who WE is but usually when someone says WE they are including themselves. Sorry you didn't get an inflation raise.
The second half of the sentence said it did not keep up with inflation it trailed inflation by several points, we was the entire country, but I didn’t cry, I stated a fact. You need to quit the pot, it’s affecting your reading comprehension.

Learn to ******* read, inflation is currently at 2.7% it was at 3% when Biden left office.

Trump left the office in 2021 at 1.7% and under Biden it went to 9%.

Do you know how to read?

June 2025 inflation 2.7%, up 0.3% from 2.4% in May, as per expectations.
