Judge Bars Proof of Citizenship for Voting

Stay tuned, and when it comes you will be supporting it, which is why you refuse to answer my direct questions.
What else can you see in there. Lottery Numbers? Horse race results?

why you refuse to answer my direct questions.
You made an obvious untrue statement about me. It's just a fact there is no prohibition on non citizens voting anywhere in the constitution and that the States and the Congress do that through laws.

You haven't proven it's not true, you refuse to answer whether or not you support allowing illegals to vote at any level. My conclusion, in the absence of a refutation, is that you support it.

So you won't support it when it happens?
Oh I'll tell ya all right, if you tell me, after looking into that crystal ball, when it is going to happen. When will a state allow non-citizens to vote in statewide elections? IMO that will never happen and rightly so.

It's already happening at the local level, so explain what gives you any sense of confidence it won't be successfully pushed at the state and then the federal level?

And if it's not, then there's always blanket amnesty, another thing supported by your party.

Now you've gone a pole-vaulted to illegals. Why should I prove something I didn't say? Somebody incorrectly stated that allowing non-citizens (by that of course I mean legal residence) to vote they would be going against the US Constitution.

Illegals = non citizens

Illegals = non citizens

Illegal Alian != Non-Citizen.

As an example a permenant resident holding a Green Card isn't "illegal" yet they are a Non-Citizen.

All Illegal Aliens are Non-Citizens, however not all Non-Citizens are Illegal Aliens.

Simple logic. For example a Chevy Corvette is a car, but not all cars are Chevy Corvettes.

In a small number of U.S. municipalities, both legally present non-citizens and undocumented immigrants are legally permitted to vote in specific local elections. While federal law strictly prohibits all non-citizens from voting in federal elections (such as presidential or congressional races), it does not govern local municipal elections. [1, 2, 3]
The rules vary significantly depending on the exact city or town:
  • Broad Non-Citizen Voting (Includes Undocumented Residents): In some jurisdictions, the law grants voting rights to "all non-citizen residents" without requiring proof of legal immigration status. For example, Washington, D.C. passed the Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act, which allows any non-citizen who has resided in the district for at least 30 days to vote in local elections (such as for mayor or city council). Several municipalities in Maryland (such as Takoma Park) also allow all non-citizens to vote in municipal races. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
  • Conditional Non-Citizen Voting (Status or Role-Based): Other areas restrict local voting rights to specific categories of non-citizens. In San Francisco and Oakland, California, non-citizens are only permitted to vote in school board elections, and they must be the parent or legal guardian of a child attending a school in that district. In Vermont, municipalities like Montpelier and Winooski allow non-citizen voting in municipal elections, but voter registration requirements are determined by local charters. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
To prevent these individuals from inadvertently voting in state or federal races, local election offices maintain separate registration databases and distinct municipal ballots. For a complete list of municipalities that permit local non-citizen voting and the specific rules enforced by each jurisdiction, you can view the local laws tracking index on Ballotpedia or consult the Bipartisan Policy Center analysis

"Non-citizen" and "illegal immigrant" are not the same; while all illegal immigrants are non-citizens, the vast majority of non-citizens are in the country legally. [1, 2]

Wow more pole vaulting. Nice. Yes I supported blanket amnesty for the Kids who went to Canada during the 'Military Action' in Vietnam if that's what you mean. I supported Raygun's Amnesty and GWB's efforts to increase the tax rolls with hard working people, but they were Republicans.

I believe I said 'democrats', not 'you'.

Great! Now republicans can acquire votes from countries around the world who identify with liberty and freedom. I’ll start by getting millions of Japanese to vote in my local town council elections.

So Trump isn't an emperor that can defy the law.

Conclusion

The Trump-Johnson proposal to ban noncitizen voting seeks to solve a problem that does not exist. Noncitizens have been barred from voting in federal elections in the United States for at least a century. And since 1996, noncitizen voting in federal elections has been a crime punishable with fines and imprisonment. While a handful of municipalities lawfully permit noncitizens to vote exclusively in local elections, those localities are the exception. Accordingly, introducing new legislation to ban noncitizen voting in federal elections is unnecessary.

That doesn't mean it doesn't happen and people turn their heads when they do since it gives an advantage to who they support.
