And now they Israelis are going to have to put together a restoration team (historical, engineering and art) that will not only fix it, but make it better than it was before.

Joseph's Tomb is a Jewish Holy Place. It has no connection to Islam other than through the usurping of Jewish history and faith.

The Israeli Palestinian Interim Agreement states:

'Both sides shall respect and protect the religious rights of Jews, Christians, Muslims and Samaritans concerning the protection and free access to the holy sites as well as freedom of worship and practice.'

Visitors with special permits were escorted to Joseph's Tomb by the IDF in order to enable Jewish believers to worship, pray and practice their faith.

The violence which occurred there was committed by the Palestinians who threw rocks at the worshippers and the IDF. The damage and destruction at the Tomb has all been committed by the Palestinians over the past decades.


So let's be clear what fundamental CONCEPTS we are discussing here:

People of a faith have a right to visit, worship and practice their faith at their holy sites.

Political, national caretakers of holy sites have an obligation to protect a holy site and uphold the rights of the people of faith to visit and worship there.

Violence committed against those people, and destruction of holy places is a violation of those rights.




If you disagree with those rights, as the OP implies in his post, you are suggesting that the national governmental body under whose physical, political and military control a holy site is placed has the right to refuse entry to people of the faith of that holy site. You might want to think that through before you argue for that.

This was part of a memorial service held in honor of 13-year-old Hallel Ariel, who was murdered brutally in her bedroom by a Palestinian terrorist. Yehuda Glick, was not permitted to access the Temple Mount complex, due to a ban on all Arab and Jewish MKs. (THAT, btw, was caused by Arab MKs inciting violence while visiting the Mount).

If you look at everything coming from the palestinian camp you will see that about 80% has been altered, manipulated or had the description changed. Some that spring to mind are the pictures of mutilated bodies allegedly in gaza 2014 when in reality they were from Kosovo in the 1990's or the placing of childrens toys in the rubble of Aleppo and claiming that it was gaza.
