I was raised close to the Canadian boarder, we didn't have blacks because it was too cold for them and also we were all mainly RC, except for a few Lutherans. We had no one to be prejudice about, so we were not raised with preconceived ideas.

you were born before 1865? If I remember correctly---- Abraham Lincoln did the
EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATION something like 1862 (do not quote me---I did not check) NY was never a slave state. and is not warm. I did not grow up in NY---I grew up in a cold state, in a small semi rural/suburban tows in a state which was also not a slave state but was very Nazi ----which is
why I recognized you as soon as you began to post. The very cold area
in which I grew up had lots of blacks in neighboring (cold) towns.
According to the way you
constructed your illiterate statement----it seems that you are saying that
roman catholics "like it warm"-----As far as I know lots of Canadians are
roman catholics and it is cold in Canada. Did they have schools in your cold,
near Canada, state?. Did you grow up thinking that all blacks live in big cities?---

did I mention "Baptist" ??? I can understand why blacks would not want to
live in a town with people like you around. Your theory that they do not live there
because "they don't like cold" is ludicrous. In general----after the civil war blacks
moved to places "up north" where they could find jobs. They could not find
jobs in Nazi enclaves. I grew up in an area of the USA----with lots of Nazi enclaves and no blacks in those particular towns.. It is true that lots of blacks
in the area of the US in which I grew up ----are BAPTISTS-----not my town,
however as far as I know ----however there was one tiny very old church which said
"Baptist" on its little sign----very old church---white with a steeple----picturesque----
