Zone1 Jesus Christ: The MYTH

Was Jesus a real person, or was he someone who was made up as a literary device by Saul of Tarsus to push his religious reform?
One is led to believe by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John as I recall, that Jesus really was a living on earth man around his fellow Jews and did wonderous things.

Except.... these guys contradicted each other on issues like

When Jesus was born.
Who were the ancestors who linked him to King David?
Why was he in Bethlehem when he was born?
What were the names of his 12 apostles?
Who first saw him when he was resurrected?

Oh, yeah, and none of these guys knew Jesus personally.

Matthew and Luke heavily copied from Mark, and John was written at a time when Christianity was established as a separate religion from Judaism.

Roman Empire...not necessarily Julius Caesar.
The joke went right over your head, didn't it?

Kind of like Sr. Mary Butch.

You see Democrats do that daily right here.

Not at all.

I've gone from being a Catholic to an atheist
A Republican to a Democrat

New evidence, new theories.
I don't blame you for abandoning Catholics.
'I do blame you for quitting republicans.

Interesting, Atheism and being a Democrat seem to often go hand in hand.

Not really.

I became an atheist in 1983 (after my parents died.)

I became a Democrat after Bush wrecked the economy in 2008.

Now, I would LOVE to be able to say what turned me against the Republicans was when Bush's incompetence led us into an unnecessary war in Iraq or his failures let hundreds drown in NOLA.

But, no, his ineptitude had to effect me personally.

Bush never wrecked the economy.

You would be amazed at how many lenders up and down the line who were driven out by the Dodd Frank law. When borrowers can't get loans, businesses fail to keep operating. Democrats killed the industry.

Yes.

Until I am presented with evidence that changes my belief on what truth is.
It would be instructive on your part for you to flip to being a Christian and also bailing out on Democrats.
