Zone1 Jesus Christ: The MYTH

Google'? Loll. I was raised as Jew my Grand father an orthodox Rabbi my Uncle a world famous cantor and your going to tell me what Jews believe. Your trapped in the reality of your false beliefs. The entire message in Genesis is man choses by free will ro believe with no threat. Christianity was violent and oppressive in its beginnings. Just as Mormons were extremely violent, allowed child marriage and polygamy. Dont lecture me with your past of immoral values
You must not be a very knowledgeable one if you didn't know Jews created the concept of hell a hundred years before Christians did. Whatever they believe today is irrelevant. The Christian concept of hell is no different the the concept of hell created by Jews a hundred years before Christianity began. So if your idiotic, third grade, atheist cuckholding interpretation applies to Christians, then it applies to Jews as well as they were the ones that started it.

The risen Christ appeared to a variety of individuals and groups and a breakdown of some of the groups Jesus appeared to ….
Yes, and all of them are superstitious myths that have been debunked by science and historical facts. :26:

Says the person whose religion believes in sexual abuse of children

Yet today, how many people follow the ways or give a second thought to Julius Caesar or have forums where he is discussed daily?

Hey, didn't you hear about the poll that Men think about the Roman Empire all the time?

this has nothing to do with my point, though, that the actual historical evidence for Jesus is questionable at best.

People think that King Arthur, Robin Hood, and even Sherlock Holmes were real people.

Britons are losing their grip on reality, according to a poll which shows nearly a quarter think Winston Churchill was a myth, while the majority reckon Sherlock Holmes was real.

And 23 per cent thought World War II prime minister Winston Churchill was made up.

Meanwhile, 58 per cent thought Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's fictional detective Sherlock Holmes actually existed, and 33 per cent thought the same of WE Johns' fictional pilot and adventurer Biggles.

When you question, is it to learn or to claim it is false? You appear to start with the assumption he is false.

The historical evidence shows:
  1. The first Christians who witnessed the supernatural acts performed by Jesus - which included controlling matter, controlling nature, healing physical deformities, healing diseases, raising the dead and resurrecting himself from death - worshiped Jesus as God because they witnessed those miracles.

Who specifically? Because none of the Gospel writers met Jesus personally. St. Paul never met Jesus personally.

So who saw all these miracles happen?

JoeB131, if in 2,000 years men claim you never existed, will they be correct?

Jesus? He is a fable.

I don't know if this was posted but have a look.

Don't be blind. You know I never lie to you.

Even so, worship as you like. Just don't kill people over your god.

I doubt anyone will remember me in 2000 years.

WHich I'm fine with.

Let's take my dad. He died in 1981. There are probably only about 5 people alive who knew him well, and maybe another half dozen who knew him as an acquaintance. I found a mention of him in the 1940 Census. We have various records from his life and service in WWII.

So there is documentary evidence he existed.

For Jesus, not so much. The sources in fact, contradict each other on key points.

There will be the final post by you here. A future member might ask about you. Will the other members who never heard of you be honest and say you did not exist?

If you mean to us all, it will be correct if in 2,000 years, men claim you and your dad never existed?

So, you do not live life to learn is what you say to my question.

Sure I do. I just don't take extraordinary claims at face value.

Not to mention that so many elements of Jesus' life seem cribbed from the mythologies of other religions.

Hey, that thing about the slaughter of the innocents, the exact same story was in Exodus. Imagine that.

I'm sure when I leave, the butthurt I've left behind will last for years afterwards. The reality is, I've been here for 15 years, and I've seen a lot of posters come and go.

Well, except his existence was documented in government records. Now, will those records still exist in 2000 years? Will humanity still exist in 2000 years?

Was Jesus a real person, or was he someone who was made up as a literary device by Saul of Tarsus to push his religious reform?

If Jesus was a Jew, why are there Catholics?

jesus is never a jew by childhood to obviously their crucifixion ...

- because the crucifiers included judaism commandments et al in their 4th century bible in spite of jesus and the 1st century events that were specifically a refutation judaism false commandments et al to return correctly to the religion of antiquity, heavenly goal granted humanity for judgement and admission to the everlasting.

This is actually ignorant

for tangential reasons, being jewish there is no mention of jesus found anywhere in the dead sea scrolls -

as a boycott of the true reason for the 1st century events - the repudiation of judaism. explains a great deal the lack of recordings of the actual cause for those events in the 1st century.

15 years means one could believe you spent time trying to be wiser and mature. Clearly in ways you have matured yet one sees evidence that on particular topics, so long as you try, you will mature more.

Have you changed one bit in those past 15 years? You told me when you changed around 2002 or in that area. When you got here, did you defend Republicans?
