You missed “chosen.” You are not God’s mouthpiece like Moses. That is what Paul was referring to. One who prophesied as well like Paul. You are what would be referred to as a teacher or missionary. The Catholic Church is devoid of a Prophet or Apostle and therefore does not have the foundation to teach true doctrine. Ephesians one and four are clear on this. But keep deceiving as those scriptures state. I’ll be a voice in this wilderness of internet teaching true doctrine based on the foundation of Prophets and Apostles. As usual, you avoided the points I made, changing them to something entirely different as that is the only way to attempt knocking them aside. Read what I said. (Pssst: Speaking God's word is speaking for God.)
Well, using the Bible there is some truth with their false doctrine. All will be resurrected. But not all will be glorified in the Celestial glory. There are lower levels of heaven. Many mansions. And, those who did not have the opportunity to hear the gospel of true doctrine will have that opportunity but not before the resurrection. First Peter chapters 3 and 4 explain this will happen with those who have died and are in spirit prison. The Lord will decide who accepts or rejects. Those who are valiant in their testimony of Jesus and who isn’t.Speaking as someone who was raised as a JW but left the "truth" a long long time ago, JWs are Christians for the simple reason that they follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. As for the notion that doctrinal differences like the trinity or hell somehow means JWs are not "true" Christians, well that is up to God. When and if God comes down and says, "Yes. That Nicene thing - that's the correct answer," then I will agree JWs are not Christians.
BTW, there's a legal loophole in JW doctrine to get into the Paradise earth after Armageddon while still leading a totally wicked and sinful life. JW doctrine states that those who died before the "truth" was made manifest by Charles Taze Russell will automatically be resurrected after Armageddon and be given 1,000 years to accept the JW version of reality. So Genghis Khan? He'll be there. So will Caligula and Pizarro and even Mohammad!
But what about the people who lived and died after the JWs were founded, but lived in some remote place where the "Truth" never reached, I hear you ask. The answer is yes, they get in too. So the North Sentinelese Islanders will all be there too.
The reason this works is because of another JW doctrine which states that the current order of things cannot end until every living person has heard the truth and made a conscious decision to accept or reject it. So if you never learn anything about JWs, and you die (as you will because the world literally can't end with you being ignorant) then you'll be resurrected after Jesus comes down and kills 99% of the human race. Doesn't matter if some of them were good and decent people and you were a wicked evil rotten-to-the-core sinner. They're dead but you get a second chance.
So..., the best course of action is to NEVER listen to a JW. NEVER! Don't learn a single fact about their religion or doctrine. Forget they even exist. When they show up at your home, slam the door in your face and put on noise canceling headphones until they leave.
Unfortunately that won't work for me since I was baptized in the JW faith. I've heard about the truth, accepted it then rejected it. So I'm fucked unless I happen to die before Armageddon, which gives you a free pass to the resurrection. So in a sense if you stay ignorant, you won't just be saving yourself, you'll be saving me too!![]()
I could not care less how the LDS Church defines prophets, or anything else. Many of us choose the Biblical definitions. As for Ephesians...notice the word 'some'. As I recall, the LDS Church has fifteen 'prophet' and twelve 'apostles' as your church defines 'prophet' and 'apostle'? That does not sound like some. It sounds like very, very, very few. Insignificant some might think. You missed “chosen.” You are not God’s mouthpiece like Moses. That is what Paul was referring to. One who prophesied as well like Paul. yesIs it true that the yJW dont celebrate birthdays?
Jesus gave 12 apostles and called Peter his Prophet to carry on the work. So, for Jesus Church today, there are currently 15 apostles, one is The Prophet, like unto Peter, and he has 2 counselors. Then, there is the Quorum of the 12 Apostles, just like Jesus had. Jesus didn't need two counselors to assist him. He was building up slowly His Quorum of 12 Apostles. So, "Some" means "some" or a few of His disciples as special witnesses of His divine calling as Savior. At the beginning of the Restoration of Jesus's Church in 1830, it took a while to get a Quorum of the 12 and a First Presidency of 3. Since then, about 110+ Apostles. Some were never members of the Quorum like Joseph Smith. He was always in the First Presidency. In any event, why do you think "Some" means millions? The reason I don't see you as a very good spokesperson for your church/faith, is because you are always tearing down, slandering, and misrepresenting/lying about another faith(s). Louder than anything else you might say, this shouts out that LDS Church both acknowledges and resents the overshadowing of other denominations and faiths.
I have been to their Kingdom Halls and I never saw anyone speaking in tongues or falling over twitching, very nice and helpful people. We need a section for Occult threads like this one .
Out of genuine interest I attended one of their Churches for about six months .
Lovely people , though the speaking in tongues and falling over and twitching sometimes drove me to emergency coughing fits .
You won't find that in LDS Churches either. Losing control of one's body is exactly what Satan wants.I have been to their Kingdom Halls and I never saw anyone speaking in tongues or falling over twitching, very nice and helpful people.

They see you coming a mile away. Too bad. You guys seem like good people.I attend churches that my wife likes and people speaking in tongues or laughing or laying on the floor is quite common. What is interesting is that these same people have given me off the scale insightful prophecies that come to pass again and again and again and again and again!
I have gone to Latter day Saint wards in Nova Scotia as well as in Mississauga and if some Elders would like to attend Catch the Fire, Mississauga, they can look for me, to have a conversation before or after the service? [I use my own actual name online].

All I am doing is giving you a heads up. Not offended, but bored. It's you that gets offended
Look more closely and you will see that I am not 'taking' your words at all. They are ignorant, which is why I have to be extremely bored before bothering to respond. And you ignore my posts--not the least bit interested in the Biblical etymology of a few words.See, you take my words with a double mind.
I know when I’m win and I’m winning! Thanks. Merry ChristmasAll I am doing is giving you a heads up. Not offended, but bored.

I'm not sure about all these various churches, but you sound like an interesting and sincere person. I drove to Nova Scotia with an old girlfriend back in the day. What a beautiful place!I have been getting something like films in my head for years.... [actually decades], but lately those films in my head seem to be getting more and more and more and more useful for anybody willing to emulate King David, King Solomon, the Prophet Daniel and his friends Hananiah, Mishael, Azariah, [not to mention Moses], who had the courage to get involved in the not so fun hobby of 'government"... [my hobby is losing elections].
I lost four already back in Nova Scotia from 2004 to 2016!
2006, Pictou Centre, N. S., Canada and you will find the name Dennis Tate, [ I got twenty votes in that one].
My Latter day Saint online friends, and family friends, are praying for me a lot. I do know this for a fact.
There is a rather old Latter day Saint prediction that I believe could be useful over the coming decade in preventing a Bear Market as well as the "Dystopian Nightmare" predicted by the rather brilliant Mo Gawdat?
Could a Utah State Volunteerism Dollar and - or a Utah State Volunteerism Hour alternative currency note be used to flip Wall Street and the T. S. E. away from Pessimism and toward Optimism?
President Trump may not like this idea though because Mr. Mitt Romney and him have NOT been on the best of terms but it is obvious that President Donald J. Trump is in a position to...
