I remember being shocked by the violence.
I remember being stunned by the restraint displayed by the Capitol police
I kept waiting for the cops to start shooting people. . I mean you just never see cops being beaten and attacked like that without them at some point t shooting

No need to discuss the events, everything was on video, and rehashed by the J6 Committee ad nauseum.
Why those events happened is a much more important question.
How could such a massive security failure happen? Why did it happen, and who is responsible?
Why didn't the FBI warn the Capitol Police? Were the FBI "informants" pushing the riot?
Why did the House Committee destroy records? You want to rehash, I want scalps.

I don't know.
It didn't happen so I didn't concern myself with things that didn't happen.
I had no serious concerns that any politician would get hurt. They're pretty well protected. Breaking windows and screaming and stuff doesn't necessarily translate into a deadly threat. There are (apparently) escape routes and so forth and other security measures.
Bottom line: not one Congressman was injured.
Fact.
Truth.

I was very surprised when the barricades went down. Even then, I did not think that they would actually attack the Capital. Then watching them live breaking in, I was just stunned. To this day, I simply don't understand how any American could attack and desecrate our own Capital building.
