We all saw Jan 6 play out in real time (well most of us)

I remember being shocked by the violence.
I remember being stunned by the restraint displayed by the Capitol police
I kept waiting for the cops to start shooting people. . I mean you just never see cops being beaten and attacked like that without them at some point t shooting

I guess my question is

When watching that… how did you see it playing out?

Did you want the rioters to start taking Congress folks as prisoners

Did you expect the cops to open fire at some point t?

Were you surprised when shots were finally fired?

How did you see that day playing out?

Every night in Minnesota is more destructive than the Capitol protest was.

To this day the restraint shown on the part of the police amazes me. Once the barriers outside the Capital building were breached, since at that point members of the mob had already begun attacking officers of the law, the police should have opened fire in self defense.

I can't help noting trumples denial of what the visual evidence shows from that day is being repeated with the video evidence of Good's unjustified shooting.

Once the violence started and I realized that they were literally trying to "stop the steal", it really hit me how deeply and completely these people had bought into his lies. No amount of violence would have surprised me.

The Insurrection was similiar to 9/11 in two ways: First, realizing that someone really was "at war" with us and most of us didn't know it, and second, I knew I was literally watching American history unfold in real time.

That combination was just, sad. Embarassing.

Please show that same combination of sadness and embarrassment towards the countless burnings and lootings of livelihoods and beatings of innocent people and attacks on law enforcement we see every time the Left gets pissed.

As noted above in another post, it was three hours of violence where the one time the National Guard and Federal Law Enforcement were cheered by you people. And yet your side still felt compelled to withhold 44,000 hours of video for as long as possible and make sure Nan Pelosi did not have to testify.

I really had no idea what to expect, mainly because mobs and riots aren't rational once the fuse gets lit.
I figured law and order would be restored eventually, which it was.
I didn't want to see Congress people held hostage.
I didn't want to see Pelosi attacked or held hostage. I did want her to feel some moments of sheer terror, however, because I think she deserved that.
I don't think we'll ever know the full story. The so-called "January 6 Committee" was a fraud from Day One and some evidence has disappeared.
In the absence of total disclosure, conspiracies abide.

She made those guys beat the shit out of Capitol Cops, take over the congressional chambers, bust through windows, cause security to hide the lawmakers, make security draw their guns at various doors and ransack the place during the "peaceful" transfer of American presidential power.
