If one paid attention during the J6 committee hearings, or read Smith's indictment, they'd have a grasp of the events on J6 and the conspiracy leading up to it.

Trump staged a rally at the Elipse to coincide with the counting of the ballots by state ( a formality). He pretty emphatically said he wanted to “stop the steal” and implored the crown to march down to the Capitol and do just that.

At about the same time Oath Keepers and Proud Boys and several other right wing thug groups began attacking police at the Capitol to be joined by rally goers when they got there.

Police line after police line was overcome by these violent assholes who began attacking the building itself, eventually gaining entrance through windows and doors they smash .

Congress stopped the counting and essentially ran for their lives

All of them . Republicans and Democrats

News of a shooting slowed things down and eventually police and NG pushed the rioters back out of the Capitol
