I've pondered on something for several years

Why are christians so enamored with jews? I just don't get it.

I ran across this earlier today- it's quite long and there are links. I followed the first one- I know that posting something that's very lengthy on this (or most any political message board) is a shot in the dark and usually a waste of time, since most already have their mind made up that no matter what, they are correct- if only that were the case-

Even if we didn’t know what gang of professional liars Levi belonged to, their “God” would give them away: there is only one god who trained his people to lie and promised them world domination, and that is the god of Israel. “Israel,” remember, is the name Yahweh gave to Jacob, after Jacob lied to his aging father Isaac, by words and by clothing: “I am Esau your first-born,” he said, dressed up in “Esau’s best clothes,” in order to cheat Esau out of his birthright (Genesis 27:15-19). This is, in the literal—and literary—sense, the founding story of Israel. As long as Christians fail to see the malice of it, and its correlation with Jewish behavior, they will continue to play the part of Esau.

There is no solid answer to your question as there are many reasons, excuses, etc. It is not one specific thing nor one specific answer. I have conversed with wonderful people who were of Jewish faith an learned a lot from them about their traditions and beliefs but like anything each has their own set of precepts which grows and changes as they learn and grow in the Spirit.

Hebrew and Jewish are not one in the same. A Hebrew is one from the region beyond. Meaning in that spiritual place in the region beyond the carnal mind. A Jew per the NT is one who walks by faith. To be Jewish is to be of that religion and faith but those vary widely just like any other thing in this world. To be Christian is to believe Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose from the grave in three days and those beliefs also vary widely depending on the individual, there knowledge base, etc.

Per flesh it is what it is. I have posted a few time on Adam aka human. There is a difference between the Man created in God's image and just a plain ole sleeping in the dust of the earth human. Two portions of every human, one is born of the Spirit of God which is the eternal portion and the other portion is just a mere flesh container subject to all sorts of spiritual entities (powers and principalities). How long does Adam sleep (being dead to the Spirit within) who knows but God. How long does it take a child of God to fully mature is not answered easily either but that was not your question was it?

I do not think that was Saul's intent at all. The Commandments and Moses law are not one in the same. Saul was speaking about what they did by human traditions. Saul understood that the Law of Moses was accomplished by the Spirit within.

I do not think that was Saul's intent at all. The Commandments and Moses law are not one in the same. Saul was speaking about what they did by human traditions. Saul understood that the Law of Moses was accomplished by the Spirit within.
