No one wants to pay high gas prices. While Presidents do not set the price of gas, their policies do have an impact on the price of gas. Here is why I can tolerate high gas prices under Trump vs.high gas prices under Biden. Trump chose to take military action against a theocratic regime in Iran that has continued to be an economic and national threat to the US and our allies for 47 years. If Trump is able to mitigate the threat from Iranian theocracy as a result of this military action, then the price of oil will come down. Gas prices went to the same $4.00 plus level because Biden Administration unnecessarily pushed policies that restricted and increased regulation over domestic oil companies.

Would you rather pay $4.00 gas prices in the short term because an Administration is trying to mitigate an ongoing threat from a regime in Iran for 47 years or would you rather pay $4.00 gas because an Administration wants to restrict and increase regulation on domestic energy companies?

It's not hypocrisy. Its what you get WITH the high gas prices.

With Biden, nothing. Iran still a threat. still killing Israelis. Biden attacked domestic oil production. With Trump. Iran is basically dead to the world, no longer a threat, no military to speak of, no air force, no navy, no longer a nuclear threat and the gas prices are caused by IRAN shutting down the SOH. As soon as this works itself out, gas prices will drop. Oil has already fallen several dollars in the past day.

The end result might be the same but the CAUSE is far different. It's like not differentiating between the pain of surgery and the pain of stabbing yourself. I mean both feel like someone cut you open, right? So they must be identical? Um. No. Not at all.
