It's not an "INSURRECTION!" when we do it

How would they have gone? Are you seriously suggesting that they would have been successful from keeping the votes from being counted for any length of time? :cuckoo:
Yes. They could have turned it over to the legislature which by default would have favored Republicans...also part of the plan.

Not okay if they beat the shit out of the police guarding the place, or smash their way into a Capitol Building.
That's just moving the goal posts and nit picking. Did they attempt or succeed in disrupting the work of elected officials?

The goal of the J6 protestors was to delay the counting of the votes until the questions surrounding the election were answered. They didn't want to overthrow anything. Heck, they hadn't even picked a Secretary of State for the "new government" the left is so sure they were trying to establish.

So was what I said. Surely you didn't take it seriously. And no, I'm not calling you Shirley.
Great movie. It was hilarious when the old white lady was talking ebonics with the black passengers.

Explain how that would play out exactly. You're saying that they could have taken hostages and made demands, and that any result of those demands would have been permanent?

Do you understand the concept of nonviolent civil disobedience?

The date is set in the constitution. Also, by Constitutional design it is the States who investigate allegations of improprieties in their elections, not the Feds, not Congress, not the party who lost the election. They were willing to use violence to overturn the valid elections in several states.

What is the official, published stance of the governing body that organized the "insurrection"?

No silly. You need to leave your echo chamber.

Are you not familiar with the Eastman memo?

You should read about it. Here is a quick summery of the plan and why delaying Pence's count of the electoral votes was pivotal in Trump and Eastman's unconstitutional plan to usurp the presidency from Biden.

"If Pence would refuse to count some electors, then the threshold needed to certify the presidential election would drop from the regular 270-vote majority to a lesser number — one presumably that Trump could reach."

"If Democrats in Congress objected, as Eastman predicted they would, then under current law the House would be called on to decide the presidency. In that scenario, because the House would vote by individual state congressional delegations, which were mostly Republican majority, the numbers would align for Trump to win."

I think the dumpsters put out a statement like: "We the Crybabies of the Neo-GOP, have been told and truly feel deep down in our guts, that Benedict Donald was robbed." Why what do you care?

Yes, silly, you're implying that through violence and coercion that Pence would have taken this action and it would have stood. Talk about an echo chamber. :laughing0301:

The committee viewed the actions as potentially illegal and a threat to democracy. Of course they did... :laughing0301:

Great article. lol

Because words mean things, and mature people don't fling around terms that aren't accurate just to inflame emotions. I've heard claims that they were trying to overthrow the government (to justify shrieks of insurrection), but were they? No.

That's fucking hillarious. How many inaccurate (Iies) did Trump spume out of his gaping maw to his followers just to inflamed their emotion during the pre-insurrection rally on Jan 6th?

"President Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day. No question about it. The people who stormed this building believed they were acting on the wishes and instructions of their president,” McConnell said. “The leader of the free world cannot spend weeks thundering that shadowy forces are stealing our country and then feign surprise when people believe him and do reckless things.”

Yeah. If pence had been evacuated.

You caught up now?

Yeah. It wasn't bad. I was hoping to find the memo outside of a pdf document but couldn't.

The pdf version is readily available.

Do you agree with the plan Trump Eastman tried to implement?

So, they take Pence or someone else hostage and insist that Eastman's plan is put into play or...... what? They kill their hostages?

So Pence, under duress and threat of someone being hurt or killed, does his part in denying certain electors. And then what? The perpetrators go free and Trump is sworn in 2 weeks later? You have quite the vivid imagination. :cuckoo:

You suck at detecting sarcasm, most likely another humorless leftie.
