Another myth, like no Atheists in foxholes. I know at least three 'liberals' in the military, and one retired 'liberal' that is a Vietnam war vet. Political affiliation has shit all to do whether someone cares for the military, or how good they are at their jobs (in the military or outside it).

Also, on this premise of communists and socialists 'hating the military', obviously you haven't heard of the USSR or China - the former devoted most of its GDP to military uses for a long while, and today I wouldn't call China skinflint when it comes to their military.
