Its funny that Trump thinks executive privelege still protects him.

I love these morning swarms of "I hate Trump" thread, especially after a great Trump rally. No amount of "Orange Man Bad" is going to divert the attention away from how bad Joe Biden is fucking up, but they keep trying.

Can't wait for the next Republican President to release Biden's 10% for the Big Guy memos, the Afghanistan conversations with CCP Milley, the order to kill the Kabul family with a drone strike, the deals Biden made with the Russians for the pipeline.
That memo has been public for a year.....

Stop the steal rally discussions are NOT government actions or doings that can be protected.

The other things mentioned on your list is legitimate government doings and advice given by advisors, and is protected.

Every single thing subpoenaed, will be gone through one by one, with a decision made on whether they meet executive privilege or not.

So far, there are no memos and docs that are covered by executive privilege that have been reviewed and slotted for release.

There may be some, in the next batch of requests....

The office of the presidency has executive privilege, for government advice with govt advisors, on govt issues.

The residing president will protect the previous president's privilege regarding any legal govt advice between the former and his advisors on government programs in most cases. The exceptions are things that show wrong doings and illegalities, and electioneering which is not govt doings....

The 1/6 Capital protest and assault was not legal, not anything that the former president has an option to try to claim executive privilege on.... Biden can't legally claim executive privilege for the former President for the 1/6 attempted soft coup.

You can't claim privilege to hide possible illegality or electioneering out of the office with govt employees....which is illegal for govt employees.
A. Sitting president determines how and when EP is used. They are under no oblation to withhold documents from a former president. Trump released numerous documents from Obama that would have been covered by EP while Obama was president. Some of them made Obama look bad. He didnt sue and claimEP. Trump is.

Or investigate Nancy Pelosi's insider trading deals that amassed her nearly $300 million in net worth.

Do you mean PRIVILEGE?

Another great Dementocrat that made it through 12 years of the 3rd grade!!!

And yes, executive privileges will protect him for as long as he lives, as it does any person that has served as president. As long as it is not used for anything illegal........but even Nixon, the Clintons, the Bushes, and Obozo got around that!!! So I severely doubt anything will happen to Trump.

Most Senate Republicans don't want Trump to run again.

GFY. :laughing0301:

See today's headlines. They think Trump is bad for the party and bad for the country.

Biden announced that he is plaaning on authorizing the release of oofical whitehouse document, including emails, memos, etc sent from the white house leading up to, during, and following the 1/6 terrorist attack to the committee reviewing the attack. Trump is claiming that because these documents were made while he was president, that they cant be turned over with his permission. Sorry, but thats not how it works. Official documents are the property of the OFFICE of the president, and a sitting president has the aurity to release or disclose any documents they wish, regardless of whether or not the came from a previous administration.

Trump has a penchant for magical thinking.

Yep. Trump is suing, but he will lose. He's only doing it, to stall stall stall.... It's his modus operandi....for everything he's done illegally in his life. He buys time, so he can brainwash his followers.... It's a hoax, fake news, witch hunt garbage, that they buy in to, thoughtlessly, ad nauseam.

I believe when Nixon as a sitting president, refused to turn over the tapes on executive privilege grounds, and the SC ruled he had no executive privilege to hold them back from the Watergate investigators.... It settled the issue on whether the conversations and documents regarding the 1/6 attempted Coup can be held back via executive privilege from the public and investigators.... They can't be.

More than one person in white white house under Trump took part in the attack. One of his top advisors is going to prisong for it.. Looking at emails, memos etc could make it clear whether or not these were a few bad apples or part of a larger patten .

We know that the Proud Boys and other groups planned the attack from the start. Several Proud Boys have already been indict on conspirisy and domestic terrorism charges. If anyone in the white house had prior knowledge of the attack an used official channels to discuss it, then thiss will outst those people and aloow justice to be done.

Let's release the FBI emails to and from Nancy and their on the ground inside actors at the 1/6 Reichstag Fire

the act of using executive privilege is null & void, when said privilege is the means to cover up a crime.

Doesn't matter. EP can only be invoked by a SITTING PRESIDENT
