It seems so long ago, I had almost forgotten.

I didn't need to be reminded this is a time that has brought out the worst in us. I see it here everyday.
Yes, a president who was so inflated with power that he thought he’d be untouchable, even if he molested a little girl before the world.

And he was.

He is a great speaker but after 8 years of watching and listening to this man, the people realized the talk didn't line up with the results.
Speaking of memories, I'm reminded of McTreason's cynically telling remark about the R's setting out to make Obama a one term prez and in so doing how they sabotaged his popular agenda. Which is to say the results he got were not unilaterally within his power to achieve.

As is his want, he spoke about human dignity, mutual respect, the democratic ideals that bind us, and the values we share as Americans. In so doing I was reminded of what this country was and aspired to be. Something from which we are on what I hope is only a brief hiatus, but worry we are not. What a contrast from our current situation.

Unfortunately, it also brought back memories of how much he was loathed. And in some circles still is. Despite the impeccably civil, ethical, contemplative, mature, forward thinking nature of his presidency. We sure could use some of that right now.

Yup. Reminding us what horrible people the Founding Fathers were, brought it all back. On our 250th birthday.

Sorry, but I'm going to put aside your delusion based hatred for another day.

Barry Bonobo, at the end of the day, is a politician. The lowest form of backstabbing, lying, sewer shit slithering vermin known to man.

Sometimes you just have to give people enough rope to hang themselves.

Then sit back and watch.

one of the greatest presidents ever and we sullied it by choosing our own version of trump to succeed him...that should never be forgotten or forgiven...never...so it is poetic justice that you pay for what you have done.

I really get a kick out of the partisan politics. People love to just shut out the disaster their side is and point to every disaster they believe the other side is.
There are people that have not been paid to the tune of millions of dollars for their work on this center which partisans will over look but point at Trump and yell that he stiffed someone. This monstrosity was built on protected land that took at lot of wrangling to bypass restrictions and regulations to bypass. A lot of people did not want this unsightly mess in their area. But it was built anyway. Then during the “ceremony” these fools talk about building on land stolen from native Americans but by building on the land anyway they show total and utter hypocrisy.

The opposite is true.
No it wasn’t, he pitted big insurance against Americans, banks were bad and evil but prosecuted none, doctors were bad, "Clinging to Guns or Religion, relegated the GOP to the “back of the bus.” You didn’t build that, the calling of Cambridge police acting stupidly, weighing in and putting pressure to prosecute In the Martin case. The list goes on and on, he often spoke down to Americans, especially if you disagreed with him, not necessarily. Clinton, Bush Sr, Reagan, Kennedy didn’t do that.

He divided American didn’t unite, give proof he united people.
