It really is unfair to compare the study of origins of life on Earth and the study of evolution to science.

Any such studies are properly called "Natural History," not "evolutionary science," or whatever.

Science consists of experiments which can be replicated. Some experiments can aid in the study of natural science. For example, an experiment that gave evidence that it were possible for life to come from non-life would go a long way in showing how life could have begun on Earth. But it could never prove that life did begin that way on Earth.

The origin of life is still an open question. Evolution is fact.
