The object - first discovered by a university student - has been observed to release a huge burst of radio energy for a full minute every 18 minutes.

Objects that pulse energy in the universe are often documented. But researchers say something that turns on for a minute is highly unusual.
The team is working to understand more.

A deep space pulsar with a polar axis facing us and a rotational interval of 36 minutes, so we get another pulse every 18?

Have yet to talk to Hans Deeg about this. He would obviously liked to have been there. When Hans invited badger out to the Very Large Array he was operating one weekend, badger asked about evidence of intelligent signals coming from space. His reply was in the negative.

Couldnt they have found an Aussie to report on this?
I feel like I'm listening to a customer service agent from india.

Yes, we remember when a New Mexico University student was operating the Very Large Array while studying for his PhD.

The reader can see that some Of these are named blazars or radio flares:

Bonjour à vous, nous sommes petits dans l'univers. Voyez donc ce monstre.

QSO SMSS J215728.21-360215.1 swallows every two days the equivalent of the mass of the Sun. It must be said that this is not a banal black hole, but a supermassive black hole, surrounded, moreover, by a very particular structure: the quasar.

This celestial object is one of the rarest in the Universe, but also one of the brightest. A feature that allowed a team of scientists to discover this incredible cosmic monster hidden some 12 billion light years from Earth

Bonjour, to place the sentences close so that the reader can experience a dynamic translating dictionary. The eye's peripheral vision can easily pick up the words of the other language.

It says,

Astronomers have just discovered an extraordinary celestial object near 12 billion light-years from Earth.

Incredibly bright, this supermassive black hole is already nearly 20 billion times the size of the Sun, and continues to grow at a speed never before measured.

QSO SMSS J215728.21-360215.1 engulfs the equivalent of the mass of the Sun every two days.

The Evoluiton of a pulsar's polar GAP Geometry.
The width-period dependences determined from measured pulsar periods and inclination angles imply that neither pure alignment nor pure counteralignment occur. The widths vary as P(-1/2) , suggesting that the limiting corotation radius of pulsar magnetospheres varies linearly with pulsar period.

The translate for my part it is not always that easy because I have a deep French countryside accent and also sometimes I don’t understand the meaning of a sentence or a post from an American member.

Oui, that's what makes it barbaric, and this trou noir object is bulemic and barbaric. Here is a video of the telescope that will be able to see QSO SMSS J215728.21-360215.1 for a closer view)
Go James Webb!

NASA did it! Webb has arrived on 24 Jan 2022:

This will be able to find more exoplanets. Humans moving to an exoplanet could no longer be called aliens.

Si vous etiez sur une exoplanete....,
If you were invited to an exoplanet....

Thanks. Mine was an offhand guess base on the article making is sound mysterious and new. It sounded neither, just not something seen every day.

This is an interesting concept about axis because the James Webb telescope....

uses polyimide film on its reflector which has a reinforced mesh to protect it from micrometeorite impacts. The pulsar cap article says 'magnetic....vacuum dipole radiation,' and so the orientation pattern on polyimide subtrates in a vacuum magnetic field:

Vacuum Magnetic Field / Polyimide Nanosubtrates
'....spins oriented perpendicular to the film plane.'
'....spins oriented perpendicular to the film plane....'
