It Is That Time Again

Ha! My grandparents had a heated outhouse....But yeah they had piss pots too.

My parent had a place in the country and downtown Atlanta before it went to crime.
Outhouse in the country. A friend of mine had a 'piss pot' in a apt building of 3 units that shared one restroom.
Outhouse was a 3 seater, we kids would plan out day while sitting on one of the holes. There were 10 of us kids counting cousins.
Toilet tissue was not around long with 10 kids ,so now and then a Sears Robuck or Wards catalog was used.
Can't use catalogs today all the paper now is slick, course and nothing like toilet tissue.

As a post-script to the OP, I got through my colonoscopy with no problems other than having to be pricked three times to find a vein. I didn't mind.

Shortly after feeling sorry for myself about the 18 hours of miserable colonoscopy prep, God showed me something worse...three hours sitting in a hospital Emergency waiting room, waiting for the "social worker" to come out and tell me the extent of my 43 y.o. son's injuries from when a woman ran him over on his bicycle. I'll take colonoscopy prep any day.

The good news is a compound broken leg, broken toes on both feet, four impacted vertebrae, several areas of stitches and severe abrasions. Nothing permanent. No concussion.

I had to come down from the stress of that waiting room by...going for a long bike ride. My S.O. was not pleased.

My riding motto is, "Ride like everyone on the road is out to get you." I don't think even that could have prevented the accident that my son experienced.
