I'm not sure we have any control with what other countries decide to do. I have no idea how Canada can stop the disbursement which is what the article says they are going to do but if they can, we have no control what is done in Canada.

I’m going to repeat that this is money from American citizens. This could wind up being a long-term precedent outside of this event. Is the Canadian government going to tell Americans how we can spend our money? This seems to be the bottom line with this specific issue, rather it be go fund me or some other group funding source, that’s outside of the significance. The we disagree on a basic fundamental idea, that we should be policing the worlds activities.

I do agree with China because they have crossed a line. A line established by none other than Hitler. We should not be supporting ethnic cleansing.

However, we do not need to be cutting off trade any time another country does something that is wrong by American standards. And I also deny that there is little we can do to those other nations because of geography. That is rather false, the world is not that large anymore and trade, particularly when we are aligned with all of the worlds wealth, is a global affair.


Essentially, we should not be placing sanctions on Canada but rather incentivizing Canada to join sanctions with the US against China.
