It could be a bad-bad day for the Democrats

Take a look at what Trump is doing to Harvard and tell me he’s not seizing power.

:rolleyes-41: If you were a jew on that campus you would understand.
Good money is being paid for tuition to that school and being intimidated
by your buddies, the anti-Semites is appalling. Tax dollars being spent for that?
No, he's not seizing power, he believes in rule of law. See, your IQ is getting in the way of clarity.

You think the law allows Trump to have a say in who Harvard hires? Who they admit? What they teach?

That’s insane.

No president ever tried this shit before. Trump is trying to seize and assert unheard of power

Anti Semitism is raging through the campuses, started under Biden. Of course he did nothing.
Laws are being broken on these campuses, Trump is not seizing anything, he's using what
means he has to gain law and order on the campuses. Law and order is something you are not even addressing.
Which is what you always do.

Your indoctrination is showing. It’s preventing you from taking information from outside your bubble.

You link to NPR and tell me about stepping outside my bubble. Funny stuff.

We can debate if they were “politically motivated” or not, but aren’t private law firms allowed to have political motivations? It’s a free country after all.

Sure, then doctors can start giving free healthcare based on a favored political persuasion and charge more for those of the opposite persuasion. Also, working for free to sue a person who must pay for their legal representation, based on politics, should be illegal.

Fascists are always obsessed with exerting "law and order" on those who engage in wrong-think. Trump wants to hold federal grants hostage to intimidate Harvard into admitting and hiring the people they want them to hire.

This is totally unprecedented power grab and blatantly unconstitutional as it's infringing on their first amendment rights.

Yes. Step outside your bubble. Prove that you aren't just an indoctrinated right winger.

Perkins Coie is being persecuted for representing Hillary Clinton (she paid them)

Covington and Burlington provided pro-bono work for Jack Smith in the context of Republicans in government going after him. Basically the opposite of the pro-bono work you describe.

You're indoctrination means you have to look for any excuse to defend Trump because you can't think for yourself.

Good dodge, but you still don't know what you're talking about.
The First Amendment does have limitations. You just keep regurgitating what your
masters spoon feed you. :eusa_whistle:

Now you can keep the back and forth, you always have to have the last say.
I'm done with this thread, nothing more left to say.

The limitations on the 1st amendment are extremely narrow as our country has a long history of respecting even inflammatory speech. If this was an issue of Harvard's exceeding first amendment protections, Trump would be fighting it out in court not exerting unheard of control over government grants.

You're running away because you have no defense for this behavior.

It's unprecedented. It's seizing power. It's fascist.

Sorry, but if these intuitions are getting federal tax dollars, they must follow certain rules. They can choose to do their own thing on their own dime. They want to propagate a political agenda and use my tax dollars to do so. You don't care because you agree with them, but others don't.

So Trump has unilateral authority to dictate what politics are acceptable on campus.

That seems like an authoritarian power grab to me.

How about no politics? That is all most of us want. Democrats hate that because free thinkers would never end up ascribing to that lunacy. They need some prodding. That is how it is done in Communist and Socialists regimes worldwide.

You can't have a college that is free from politics. It's a part of our society.

Either way, you want Trump to have unilateral authority to determine what is and isn't acceptable on campus.

You agree with how he's using that authority, but you can't deny that it's a massive power grab.

Left wing Jews should be concerned with what's happening as they are supporting it. If they do not care, then slowly the nation will not care either. The middle east sucks.

Would you be opposed to largely Conservative, Christian colleges getting as much federal funding? Right...

Harvard gets that much funding because they have the world’s best researchers who compete for grants to perform work the government deems important and beneficial to the country.

Why wouldn’t you want taxpayer research money going to the best researchers?

Tesla’s robots are a joke. They were secretly being operated by people behind the scenes.
It's not people....it's a server rack that you don't see off screen. It's not exactly secret either.
The biggest issue with Tesla's robots is their work environment. They haven't really made the transition from lab quality to field quality yet. And production lines do NOT use transmitted signals by radio waves because of the electronic noise. We electricians run metallic conduit to keep it out of the wiring and cabling.

However....what they call "dark factories" where there are no lights turned on are coming. (They really are not completely dark)
Robotics and PLC controlled CNC machinery has been here and is only going to grow as time goes by.
USA manufacturing has to compete against Chinese slave labor...using electronic slaves. And it's alot more prevalent than you think.

We really don't need people to make automobiles....the ones that do are there due to the UAW needs people paying dues to keep the illusion continuing that they represent the workers. Those employees know it too.

Food? No human hand has touched your sandwich bread until you do. Same thing with steaks, burger meat, chickens (cut or whole) and the list is endless.
Fast food is going to become a glorified vending machine. It's coming.....get used to the idea.

It depends on what they are researching. I could be a pay as you go type funding. Also, just in case you haven't figured it out yet, political bias has infiltrated "science" as well. Sad, but true. Many of these researchers would do their best to convince you that 2+2= 5 if it helped to substantiate their political agendas. The scary part is that many would believe them.

You’re trying to change the conversation. Trump is using federal funding for research to enforce a political doctrine.

That’s an unheard of power grab and blatantly unconstitutional attack on free speech.

He’s an authoritarian.
