I don't know that I'd agree to religion in school, but I would be extremely opposed to the school denigrating religion and would favor any school teacher or administrator being criminally charged if they trash any religion to the children.

The acceptance of the bibles not being literally true by all the Christians on this board, has been fostered along by the public schools that have been forbidden to tell the children that the bibles are literally true.

They do NOT have First Amendment rights when acting as a representative of the government.

Being silent naturally leads children to believe that religion isn't important enough for them to think of as truth.

Children don't become believers if they're not taught.

Restore the creation opinion to the public schools and allow science's lies to be proven to be the work of Satan.

Also I could not tell you the political leanings of any of my teachers who taught us the Constitution, the basics of the Founding Documents, the history of our country including the basics of the Declaration of Independence and all the different types of government and ideologies. But we were encouraged to think of all those critically and analytically re the pros and cons, cause and effect. Pretty much all of us grew up as conservatives embracing the basic values of our American communities.

I couldn't tell you what religion my teachers were either. I was blessed to grow up in a small town so we knew where two or three or so of our teachers attended church but knew nothing about their religious beliefs. But we could have a moment of silence to start our school day, student led prayers at assemblies, generic prayers at sporting events, Christmas tree and other traditional decorations at Christmastime, could sing traditional Christmas carols including "Handel's Messiah" at our Christmas concert that was enjoyed by people--Christian, Atheist, Jewish, other--who came from miles around to hear it.

We had to actually know math, English, geography, history, etc. to pass our classes. And we got a public school education that rivaled any four year college graduates now.

And would you believe this was all without a Department of Education or anything like that in government?

That may require that some sciences will have to be regulated downward on what can be taught.

The Maryland Constitutional also states, in emphatic terms:


“the People of this State have the sole and exclusive right of regulating the internal government and police thereof, as a free, sovereign and independent State.”



In fact, under Art. 3 of Maryland’s Constitution, the command is for local regulation and funding of education as opposed to a federally funded and regulated public school system!


The Maryland Constitution also states:


“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution thereof, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people thereof.”


This very provision of Maryland’s Declaration of Rights is also agreed to by the People of the United States by their ratification of the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States!


Now, with respect to our federal Constitution and its delegated powers, upon researching the record of the Constitutional Convention of 1787, we find Delegate Charles Pickney, on August 18th, proposed a broad power "To establish seminaries for the promotion of literature and the arts and sciences", but this proposal was rejected by the Convention in favor of a limited grant of power expressed in Article 1, Section 8, Cl.8, of the proposed constitution. The limited power, later agreed upon by ratification of our Constitution authorizes Congress "[t]o promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts” . . . (and what is authorized to accomplish this?). . . by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries."


The fact is, the federal Department of Education and its current functions are in defiance of the defined and limited powers granted to Congress. And every time a member of Congress votes to tax and spend on this agency, they are committing a fraud upon the people of the United States and are usurping a power not granted!

Why aren't Republicans going to close the Dept. of Education you ask? Because it helps millions of white kids in rural areas.

If title 9 only helped poor black communities, you bet your sweet ass Republicans would do away with the department. But it helps white kids in small towns. Without the federal money, goobers in Mississippi would not get educations.

There was no Critical Theory indoctrination in schools when I attended them. They focused on reading and writing, mathematics, the state social sciences of government foundations, physical education, vocational education, and history, both world and national.

Not once would it have been acceptable to force kids to use specific pronouns, have drag queen shows, or other social justice nonsense. The school I attended worked for two years just to get Dr. Hook to perform at the highschool because they were sometimes, "Lewd".

There is no critical theory in schools now except for law schools. We were indoctrinated with Critical White Supremacy Theory instead. And that's what scabs like you want us t return to.
