Do we need to go back to the reign of King David?Israel is a member of the U.N. Are you suggesting
the U.N accepted a nation, that by your assertions,
doesn't really exist?
Stop for a moment and notice the absolute insanity that underpins the argument of shockedcanadian:
He's basically saying that a group of diplomatic representatives from France, Argentina, Britain, China and the Soviet Union have the right to dispose of the homeland of the palestinians and give it to european colonists.
European, American and asian diplomats "giving" the homeland of another people as a "gift" to foreign invaders.
He talks as if foreigners giving somebody else's land to invaders without the consent of the native population were a totally "legitimate" act. Apparently this nuttery makes perfect sense inside his head!!!!
The world, together with this Canadian, must have gone mad.
Yes, the world voted on this as a response to the death of 6 Million Jews. This was more than a 3rd of the entire global population of Jews! Fully 2/3rds of the European Jewish population a victim of genocide.
This was not the world voting themselves land in a power grab (and it passed btw), this was a response to genocide and a decades long movement of Jews to return to their homeland. I believe approximately 20% of the population pre-1948 in Israel were Jewish. You also seem to gloss over that it was once their land in 1 BCE and even Christian land before Islam.
Also, these same people who are most upset at the time were also conspiring with Hitler to move forward with killing Jews. They were encouraging Hitler to kill them. Some historians even suggest that they were the ones most ardently pushing the Nazis agenda.
Israel exists and will continue to exist as long as the world has courage to help defend her. If surrounding nations want to live 1400 years in the past, have a free vote on it from all their citizens, men and women, and do so (you can bet that MANY people are living under circumstances against their will or desire). Leave those nations alone who wish to progress and contribute positively to the human species.
