Says me. We have already lost, at this point it is about extracting ourselves with the least loss of dignity.Says who?
This was a war of choice, period, and it was a stupid choice. There will be no regime change, there never was going to be. Control in Iran is too decentralized and rural areas can be tribal. Nor was Iran even close to a bomb. And enriched uranium, well they have a right to that and a need for it within the medical and agricultural arena.
I don't know what they were thinking, was propping up the petrodollar that important? And even in that, now they fail. Saudi Arabia is going to sell oil in yuan too. Bye bye petrodollar, the Trump administration can pat themselves on the back for hastening that inevitability.
And what the hell did we get out it? Honestly, the Gerald Ford, limping to port drowning in their own shit, is symbolic of what we have left, after a few damn weeks for Christ's sake. A stunning vulnerability, in multiple areas. Already, limiting our use of Tomahawk missiles, and air-to-air intercepts, fugget about it.
We can't keep but half our damn planes flight worthy, some of them fifty damn years old. And the Navy, OMG, damn thing is falling the fawk apart, I mean check the status of every single class of ship. They are old as hell, it is disgraceful. And worse, we can't flipping build the damn things. We need shipyards, automation, we are damn decades behind South Korea. Bad enough we got to go begging to France for mine sweepers.
