I thought maybe it meant Electrified Floating Objects since there are electric fields above storms and thunderheads forming the difference of potential between the troposphere and outer space.

The electric field is generated triboelectrically partly by the motion of rising ice crystals all rubbing each other as the drafts in the weather push water vapor ever higher up in the sky, leading to a wide number of effects, this just being one of them.
