Donald Trump Reads The Bible

So if one isn’t ‘born again’ they will fo to Hell?

Yes. Don't you know your Bible? John 3:3. Not like God wants that to happen of course. That's why He made a way with Jesus Christ.

John 3:1-5

There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”

3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”

5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Where does it say you’ll go to Hell?

Where does it say you’ll go to Hell?

I was simply showing you that Jesus said you must be born again. He stated it emphatically, 3 times in a row. Do you not believe in the concept of salvation? Do you not believe that those who aren't saved will be eternally separated from God?

I am not the most faithful person out there - nor do I understand a lot of the Bible, however I will say this because it is plainly obvious - is that the vast majority of Churches, Denominations, etc have turned their backs on their faith due to the pursuit of their own wealth and power. People who claim to believe in Christ will debate over what denomination is better - which to me doesn't seem like "Christian" behavior. Mainstream Western Christianity has been watered down so much to accept and to tolerate their own destruction. Many people use the idea of "faith" to push their own agendas. This is the case with the Evangelical Christians in the US especially, with the recent actions in the Middle East.

This is clearly a political stunt because of all the backlash he has received for posting the picture of himself as a “doctor”.

Gullible Christians will believe manipulated into supporting him even though he’s probably the least Christ-like politician in modern history.

Thanks for your thoughts. I can't say that I agree that the majority of churches are bad. Definitely some are bad, but there are a lot of good churches too. In my view, the problem is that there are some false doctrines that are popular, in modern Christianity. But that's a topic in and of itself, and I don't want to get into it right now. Plus, I've spent too much time already here today...so I need to get going. :)

I've spent less and less time here lately, it seems. In some ways it is a good thing. I don't think it is healthy to continue going back and forth with people who clearly don't get it - but I will chime in when I feel that I have something to say.

I’ve been baptized

I'm all for him wanting to restore and heal our country because that's exactly why I voted for him, but did he have to repost a picture of him wearing Jesus robes?
Smarmy Self-Righteous Silliness

You're going way overboard on petty judgments, as if you were the Supreme Court for Evangelicals. You won't dare consider that's why people are turned off
by your movement.

Yep. And not very close.

I also assume that, if Trump has to actually hold a Bible, his staffers would be standing by with fully functioning fire extinguishers.

Like everyone else here, you assume YOU get it, unlike the rest of us simple-minded plebes. That's pretty damn arrogant. But then, you are a woman
