Is the severe weather really costing our government and country big money?

We have proxy record going back a hell of a lot longer then 130 years. A strong case could be made that we're near the warmest we have been in about 3 million years.
According to whom?

Jim Hansen...former head of the giss and someone that spent a life time advancing climate science.
Now consider those credible scientists who dispute that theory and who have no grant money to consider in their research and then apply honest objectivity.

Try a response instead of an insult. It would make you appear more credible.
Dude. You're dumber than a stump. The evidence has been put in front of you and you are too ignorant to understand what you're looking at. That's okay, you've been fed conspiracy theories since you were born so it's only natural for you to believe the whole world is conspiring to rip off dumb fuck rightards. That doesn't mean we don't get to point and laugh though.

Listen. It's not fair if you're going to mock yourself. My efforts then end up looking feeble.

We have more property damage because the country is more densely populated.
This is especially true along the coasts so any storm will cause more damage

they found a fern fossil inside the arctic circle, so no
This one, 380 million years odd ago?

Fossilized Tropical Forest Found — in Arctic Norway

Fossilized Tropical Forest Found — in Arctic Norway

A tropical forest densely packed with 12-foot-tall trees with flared trunks and curved branches of needle leaves — Dr. Seuss would have felt right at home — covered an area near the equator some 380 million years ago. Scientists spotted the fossilized stumps a long way from this location — in Arctic Norway.

sounds right, heard about it years ago.

so we have a lot of warming to do before we are all doomed, which won't happen anyway, not until we go extinct or the sun burns out.

130 years against the existence of the planet is way more cherry-picking, don't you think?
Get back in your greenhouse before you wilt.
Whoever first said invincible ignorance is invincible knew what he or she was talking about.

OK. We have proxy records in ice, lake varves, isotopes for various elements, that tell us a good deal about the climate in the past geological time. And we have fossil records of extinctions, and indications of what was involved in the way of climate in those extinctions. So our record is far longer than the history of Homo Sapiens.

And your comment is still evidence of incredible ignorance.

LOL. In case you haven't noticed, 380 million years is a long time. And ever the continents have moved a long ways in that time.

Only at 120 milliion years does the continent configuration even begin to resemble the present.

I don't think the result will be doom, but rather some extreme costs to our descendents. Many of the present species on earth will be doomed, however.

According the several million scientists. You know, people like geologists, paleontologists, biologists, chemists, and physicists. You know, all them thar pointy headed libruls from all them thar Furrin' places, and our own ultra-librul traitors that broke the rules and got and education.
