When Bush went into Iraq, China was 1/10th the size of the U.S economy, with $26B in annual military expenditure. Now they are par with the U.S economy and spent $260B a year, only America spends more.

In the 1950s..Europe was poor and struggling to recover...Japan and Germany were completely broken. The US was the only game in town. We didn't have to compete.
