Is it ok to tell the truth now?

With a new Trump Administration, truth is a thing of the past. Trump lied about everything to get elected, and is already lying that the New Orleans terrorist attack was the result of "open border" policies. The perp was an American, born in the USA - and a member of the US military.

The Los Vegas truck bomber was a card carrying member of the Trump Cult, and a Green Beret. Trump's Cult members are turning on him now that they realize they've been conned.

Trump is even claiming credit for the Biden Economy - the strongest in the first world, is his doing, just like he claimed the Obama Economy was his success. Believing his lies last time cost over 1.2 Americans their lives. At least the world knows what an ass clown he truly is. We're ready for him.

NOTHING is "safe" with Trump in office. Given his threats against those who criticize him, Free Speech is a thing of the past.
Your 4 year meltdown will rot what little is left of your pea brain.

Intimidating, attacking, deplatforming and punishing people for voicing their opinion (or just saying the wrong thing to the wrong person, for that matter) was where the Left went off the rails and weaponized Political Correctness while ushering in Trumpism.

So how did that work out?

Americans need to be able to say what they're thinking without fear of reprisal. If they can't, their resentments will only build. As we can see right now. And if their opinions identify them as ignorant, paranoid bigots, that's fine too. We need to know that they still exist, as a reminder that there is still work to do.
Again who are you and what have you done with Mac1958?

Brilliant post and thank you.

Free speech is the No. 1 cornerstone of liberty and liberty cannot exist without it. And while it cannot be used in a way intended to cause physical harm to people/violate their rights--yelling FIRE in a crowded theater or intentionally inciting a riot/insurrection would be examples of that--and there are prohibitions on public decency--child pornography, beastiality and such--free speech should be unrestricted. And that includes being able to express personal opinions and beliefs that others disagree with and/or are literally factually indefensible.

And though I suspect you will likely disagree, Trump 45 offered pretty much unrestricted liberty of speech except in the very narrow ways it should be restricted. Using un-PC pronouns might offend a few people for instance, but do no material or physical harm to anybody and should not be prohibited by law.

I've held that opinion for the 13+ years I've been on this board, and a lot longer, and I've had a few hundred (or thousand) squabbles with the lefties here over it.

My actual positions on the actual issues have nothing to do with my opinions on Trumpism, and my opinion of Trumpism is not about politics.

You have to know the truth before you speak it for us, and if you are referring to our elected officials, I believe they have incentives that you wouldn't believe that are not controlled by them.
I dont want to do anything for your crowd boyo

Well, I belong to another discussion forum where you can get banned just for saying "I like Putin". In fact, it happened to me twice.
You should be banned permanently.

misinfo has been outlawed by those in government that decide what it is or is not, and further use social media to violate the 1st, which they can not

this is an ethical abuse

Maybe I am. The ban on me should be lifted in two more days. Anyway, if they decide not to lift it then I'll have more time to be on this forum where I can dedicate more time to putting you in your place. :spank:

I realize many on here engaged in self-censorship out of fear of the woke fbi etc.

Hopefully now with a new Trump Administration it will be safer to tell the truth.

You mean lie. With the orange bag O' shit running things, magaturds will be able to continue lying on social media free from consequence.
