Is human life valuable or is it not? Truly a conundrum.

The conundrum lies in the alternatives presented. In practice, value is a relative, rather than absolute, term. Other things may have greater or lesser value than human life: That is for each individual and society to determine.

Of course none of that takes sentimental values into effect but the numbers do raise interesting questions for possible civil wrongful death lawsuits.
