But you yearn for socialist lies all of the time, GP, and look to the tenets of this system as your salvation. Its truly amazing to watch people who have been indoctrinated in such idiocy, fall so easily.
I don't see the idiocy in replacing crony capitalism with progressive democracy.

"Both democratic socialism and socialism advocate for a redistribution of wealth and power to meet public needs, not make profits for a few.

"Both aim to weaken the power of corporations and increase the power of the working people."

Is socialist Sanders a communist? Here is what NY post has to say.

"He’s not even a socialist. He’s a communist.

Mainstreaming Sanders requires whitewashing his radical pro-communist past. It won’t be easy to do.

Rewind to 1964.

While attending the University of Chicago, Sanders joined the Young People’s Socialist League, the youth wing of the Socialist Party USA. He also organized for a communist front, the United Packinghouse Workers Union, which at the time was under investigation by the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

After graduating with a political science degree, Sanders moved to Vermont, where he headed the American People’s History Society, an organ for Marxist propaganda. There, he produced a glowing documentary on the life of socialist revolutionary Eugene Debs, who was jailed for espionage during the Red Scare and hailed by the Bolsheviks as “America’s greatest Marxist.”

This subversive hero of Sanders, denounced even by liberal Democrats as a “traitor,” bashed “the barons of Wall Street” and hailed the “triumphant” Bolshevik revolution in Russia.

“Those Russian comrades of ours have made greater sacrifices, have suffered more, and have shed more heroic blood than any like number of men and women anywhere on Earth,” Debs proclaimed. “They have laid the foundation of the first real democracy that ever drew the breath of life in this world.”

Sanders still hangs a portrait of Debs on the wall in his Senate office.

In the early ’70s, Sanders helped found the Liberty Union Party, which called for the nationalization of all US banks and the public takeover of all private utility companies.

After failed runs for Congress, Sanders in 1981 managed to get elected mayor of Burlington, Vt., where he restricted property rights for landlords, set price controls and raised property taxes to pay for communal land trusts. Local small businesses distributed fliers complaining their new mayor “does not believe in free enterprise.”

Sanders took several “goodwill” trips not only to the USSR, but also to Cuba and Nicaragua, where the Soviets were trying to expand their influence in our hemisphere.

In 1985, he traveled to Managua to celebrate the rise to power of the Marxist-Leninist Sandinista government. He called it a “heroic revolution.” Undermining anti-communist US policy, Sanders denounced the Reagan administration’s backing of the Contra rebels in a letter to the Sandinistas.

Sanders also adopted a Soviet sister city outside Moscow and honeymooned with his second wife in the USSR. He put up a Soviet flag in his office, shocking even the Birkenstock-wearing local liberals. At the time, the Evil Empire was on the march around the world, and threatening the US with nuclear annihilation.

Then, in 1989, as the West was on the verge of winning the Cold War, Sanders addressed the national conference of the US Peace Council — a known front for the Communist Party USA, whose members swore an oath not only to the Soviet Union but to “the triumph of Soviet power in the US.”

Today, Sanders wants to bring what he admired in the USSR, Cuba, Nicaragua and other communist states to America.

For starters, he proposes completely nationalizing our health care system and putting private health insurance and drug companies “out of business.” He also wants to break up “big banks” and control the energy industry, while providing “free” college tuition, a “living wage” and guaranteed homeownership and jobs through massive public works projects. Price tag: $18 trillion.

What about those communist sister cities he adopted? “Bernie established them to support people-to-people exchanges which might support peace in the long run,” said Bruce Seifer, who was one of Sanders’ central economic planners directing Burlington businesses to “reinvest their profits in the community.”

In an interview, Seifer claimed that it was “no different than President Nixon opening relations with China.”

Please. Sanders and his Sanderistas are all still pining for what Debs called “the Greater Revolution yet to come.”

Why bother with America if you prefer socialism. We will never be a socialist nation. You can move to the much superior socialist nation at any time as you please. We love it here, freedom is best.
Capitalism doesn't provide for much more freedom than feudalism or slavery. All three economic systems functioned with a small minority (masters, lords, owners) ruling over a much larger majority of slaves, serfs, and workers. Socialism will change that by bringing democracy to the workplace and from there to all levels of government.

Exactly. Democratic Socialism is no less totalitarian than normal socialism. They just take a vote first. I can't care about that distinction.
Your preference for corporate authoritarianism has already been noted.

Reality:
This is one of the richest countries on the planet. If you failed, it was because you are a failure.
Real reality.
This is the richest country in history and it's never been richer. The problem isn't producing wealth, it is distributing the wealth according to need and productivity instead of profit.

Much of the "success" of the richest one percent has come from bribing politicians for favorable tax and trade policies and strangling the productive economy with endless debt.

Norway is democratic socialism?

Funny no one in Norway has noticed they are socialist. They are VERY white though.
Nobody said all white people are brainwashed.

Democratic Socialism Vs. Unfettered Capitalism: There Is No Comparison

"Norway provides:

  • "Free universal health care while the U.S. only has unpaid or, at best, expensive insurance-based coverage :
  • Free higher education while U.S. college education is extremely expensive
  • Financial security for seniors while the U.S. does not
  • A minimum living wage for its citizens whereas the U.S. minimum wage is below the poverty line which generates a 29% poverty rate compared to only 10% in Norway
  • A minimum of 8 weeks paid vacation annually while the U.S. provides none
  • 35 weeks paid parental leave while the U.S. provides none"

He's a Marxist. That pretty much covers both socialist, communist and all forms in between: Anarcho-socialism, Utopian socialism, State-Communism, Democratic-socialism, Social Democratic-socialism, Libertarian-socialism, Christian-socialism, and Market-communism.
It's worse than all that. He's a Democrat.

This is not the new generation, but the new democrats that the party has imported into the country + the brainwashed morons.
Capitalism doesn't deliver what it once did.
Young people get it.
Old fools...not so much.

7 in 10 millennials say they would vote for a socialist: poll

"Seventy percent of millennials in a new poll say that they are somewhat or extremely like to vote for a socialist candidate.

"The YouGov–Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation poll released on Monday also found that 50 percent of millennials, defined as between the ages of 23 and 38, and 51 percent of Generation Z, or those ages 16 to 22, have a somewhat or very unfavorable view of capitalism, an increase of 8 and 6 percentage points, respectively, from last year."

The problem is your ignorance and narrow minded ridged thought process that does not allow you to grasp nuances and subtleties of terms like socialism, capitalism and communism. For the unsophisticated like you, it is all one or the other, black and white, nothing in between .
