If you don't know how the hideousness of communism eclipsed anything that ever happened in this country, you need a history lesson. In the entire history of our country, we never murdered more than 100 million people through slavery, genocide, forced labor, pogroms, gulags, cultural revolutions, or Jim Crow laws.

Of course, you could count the 50 million or so who were murdered through the liberal institution of abortion in this country, the majority of whom were black or other minorities.

Successful working(not ultra-wealthy) adults vote Republican in higher numbers. As income increases, the more likely someone is to vote Republican. These are not ultra-wealthy, elitists, these successful folks making a good living who are presumably somewhat intelligent and ambitious. College kids love Bernie. Why is that? They are in the lower income brackets and have been indoctrinated with nonsense by petulant professors who know virtually nothing about the real world.
