Is a Plyler v. Doe challenge in Trump’s crosshairs? Should Americans be forced to fund education for the children of alien enemies?

...

But in the context of illegal immigration, those who haven't been born here, can essentially steal citizenship by claiming asylum or somesuch.
...
Being granted asylum doesn't bestow citizenship.

My opinion is basic. Unless congress acts, you have no choice to obey the laws they pass unless they are overturned by SCOTUS.

Being an asylee and being a citizen are two different things.
In my opinion, if the government recognizes your presence by granting you benefits or rewards of any kind, it is essentially recognizing you as a citizen even though you aren't. If you have rights under any law, you are a citizen.

It's unorthodox, but that's how I see it.

But!

Don't mistake my opinion for an assertion of fact. I know what the law is, I know what the law is supposed to do. And I will uphold what the law says, but I still have an opinion nonetheless.

As Trump continues to work for core Americans and aims to restore fundamental logic and sanity to the workings of the U.S. you have to believe he and Stephen Miller are planning an attack on the Plyler ruling.
It certainly looks like the globalist America haters are planning for such an attack.
For the sake of existing law, yes. If those children are adults from other countries in higher education who have an ulterior motive, like those smugglers who had a fungus known to be used to contaminate food supplies, they need to be expelled and punished.

By that tortured reasoning, is a permanent resident (what people still want to call "Green Card") a citizen? Is someone in the US on a three month visa waver a citizen? How about a refugee?

Call it "tortured reasoning" if you wish.

The tortured reasoning here, really, is making up different ways to classify the presence of a foreigner without actually calling them a citizen. It's stupid. If you gain rights or benefits under our laws, if you gain our protection, you are a citizen. I fail to see what I'm getting wrong here.

It's counterintuitive to say someone is not a citizen even when they gain rights, benefits, and protections under our laws while they are here, permanently or temporarily. I find the reasoning flawed.

For anyone saying I'm defending illegals right to stay here, guess again. I am making the case that they have essentially stolen citizenship by way of the government recognizing them and giving them limited rights, benefits, and protections whilst the government makes no effort to remove them from our country.
