Well, Sax, you are kind of deflecting away from the previous statement and potential good and justification for this war, but your point is still fair, and Trump has settled 8 other wars around the globe, kept us out of Ukraine, has them talking at least, seems to have quelled the whole Gaza thing, then out of the clear blue we started with the drug boats. OK, I get that, next we are stealing Maduro! Impressive operation, but now this whole Iran thing?

Iran is no Sunday cupcake-- OK, I'll buy it that Iran had already been at war with us for like 47 years and has killed thousands of Americans and was trying to kill Trump, developing nuclear fuel, using every dime they had to build, stock, sell and supply weapons all around the world; DEATH TO AMERICA---

But if this war drags on for months now instead of weeks with some clear resolution and benefit to the people there that rather cleanly settles the entire instability of the region for a long time, I will be rather pissed and feel betrayed at the whole affair. We were sold on the idea that if we went in there, we had Iran dead to rights, every detail anticipated, and we could zap Ayatollah outta there cleanly with a snap of our fingers.

I've decided now that part of the reason for this war was because the DOW had a lot of new toys that it wanted to field test in actual combat to get our military sharper and more ready for even bigger conflicts.
