Iran declared war on the United States 47 years ago. Arguably, it is the longest-running irregular conflict against America in its history. Ayatollah's regime founded Hezbollah, the Houthis, and various other proxies responsible for assassinating American military personnel and civilians. The "war" to which you refer is not the beginning of an endless conflict. It is precisely the opposite. It is the use of force to neutralize an enemy that is determined to destroy the United States.

The danger of Iran is that the government are unhinged neolithic religious fanatics whose entire purpose for living is destruction of the west. All they needed was time and opportunity, and idiots like the EU and Obumma with their endless negotiations, pacts, treaties and agreements simply furnished Iran with 47 years to arm themselves to the teeth both conventionally and with enough enriched uranium to make 10-12 nukes.

Of which we currently have no idea where that stuff is.
