Iran Is Crying Uncle

If US involvement brings down the Mullahs and allows the Iranian people to vote for once free and clear on who they want to run the country, that would be a bad thing?

The problem with the past few interventions is we haven't gotten a true resolution to the conflicts in question.
For who in what election and who secures that?

Oh my god here we go again. It's Iraq all over again.

And like I said, just stop complaining when a Obama or Biden bombs Yemen. Last year you guys were non interventionalists. You didn't want to get involved in global affairs especially on the other side of the world.

My you have changed. And you do it every time a different party is in the White House.

Not really Iraq because the people in Iran are ready to get rid of the Mullahs, and the rich Gulf States and others would be more than happy to cover the boots on the ground during any rebuilding.

I've never been a non-interventionist, I've been a "have a ******* plan when doing so" type of guy.

My issue with Ukraine isn't helping them, it's only helping them enough to keep a stalemate going.

The Gulf States and the Arab States would jump at the opportunity to get a new government in Iran.

We would probably have to supply $$ and logistical support, but for the chance of getting rid of Iran's current government, it would be worth it.

Let the Gulf States and Arab States supply $$$ and logistical support to get Iran a new secular government.

The ONLY thing Iranians agree on is that they want rid of the current government.

After that....nothing.

From what I understand there's at least 4 different factions that want polar opposite things. There's zero cooperation or ability to "get along".
Religious ideologies are just one group. They do NOT make up the majority.

No different from when the Shaw fell and the Mullahs took over. He didn't have a majority either and his social reforms pushed too much Western Ideologies and freedoms too far and they were NOT comfortable. Even less so today with the LGBTQ agenda associated with the West. (Even WE do NOT want that agenda ourselves).

Iraq still hasn't recovered from "Regime change" and is still fairly lawless. Afghanistan is still tribal and finding any leadership is like finding a cat in charge of a herd of cats. (Doesn't happen)

So.....
With Iran you have extensive oil production. Gasoline is cheap there. Some rogue nation can roll up Iran and Iraq and the Kurdish population all in one fell swoop.

People in this region are still very much interested in Caste-Based societal constructs. Their heritage means more than their Government.
Not gonna fix that anytime soon.

The US and Europe should contribute because it would be in their best interests.

Getting rid of the Mullahs gets rid of 90% of the terrorist funding in the Middle East.

It also isolates the Taliban ***** in Afghanistan.

Side note - I saw a YouTube clip of a PBS report on this.
OF COURSE - they concentrated on the VERY FEW civilian deaths in Iran, and even used Iranian media to show a damaged hospital, and repeated Iranian claims without questioning them.
And failed to mention that Iran - specifically - targeted civilian apartment buildings.

THIS IS THE LEFT.

So Trump was complicit in starting this war
So much for Trump being anti/war huh?
In cases of foreign policy, the difference between Democrats and Republicans is minimal, because they fulfill the will of their one master - finance capital.

Regime change has not worked yet....I do not see it working in the future.

Here most of the work will be done for us by Israel, and you have a population sick and tired of their current government.

In Iraq and Afghanistan, the people wanted more Islam, in Iran they want less.

Libyans aren't like Iranians.

Not to mention the simple fact that Iran is responsible for most of the radical terrorism in the Middle-East.

Cut off the head of the snake and the snake dies.

This may be a once in a generation chance to get rid of a hostile government, and another country is doing 99% of the work towards it.
