Final words from inarguably one of Hollywoods greatest political
thrillers.- Seven Days in May - { 1964 }
Where an unpopular President played to perfection by Great actor
Frederic March as President Jordan Lyman is struggling along with
the populace turning against him due to his managing to get a Nuclear
Disarmament Treaty through the Senate.
To the utter chagrin and attempted plots by Cocky General James
Mattoon Scott { popular head of the Joint Chiefs }.
Strange how President Lyman manages to give a moving,powerful
address mentioning the " Greatness " of our Country.And how precious
and delicate " Democracy " stands in the balance.
Sometimes even Fools can wise-up real quick when push comes to shove.
General James Mattoon Scott learned that lesson the hard way.
Thinking he had all the cards on his side.However being aggressively pushy,
demanding and unflinching in his attempts to overthrow the Presidency
was Way Off Base.Such is often the case in Life.
No one gets out of Life ... Alive.
Digress at ones own displeasure.
