We got by as a Country for 134 years without an FBI, do we actually need one?

I'm inclined to say, yes we do.

Can we actually save the FBI? Is it worth it? Can we de-program the Agents? Or do we start over, fire every last one of them..... Then we will have several thousand well-educated, motivated investigative Cops pissed off at us.

So.... I don't know. I'd like to save it and maybe we should start with that. Gut the Hoover Building, put all those people on the street doing Layman's Cop-Work and see who's worth keeping and who needs to be let go.

They investigated Hunter
Many Democrats have gone to jail after an FBI investigation

Democrats blame the person charged
Republicans blame the FBI

Biden got a free pass for the very thing Trump was charged over.

We also know how Kash Patel, Trump's nominee for FBI Director, feels about the FBI. He wants to tear it down. And, the morre I think about it, the more angry I get and the more I agree.
I wouldn't say he wants to "tear it down", in his book "Government Gangsters" , he lays out his recommendations for reforming the FBI (among other executive branch agencies), the first being what he refers to as "aggressive congressional oversight", to summarize, he wants congress crawling up the FBI's ass with a microscope.

I'm not sure if what Patel is suggesting will work but it's certainly worth a shot, we can't go on allowing rogue bureaucrats to just do whatever the hell they want with no accountability.

They have lost the trust of half the country. Maybe it's the DOJ pulling the strings, but there has been leaked info on actual hard biases at several levels of the FBI.

We all know, the people that actually care about America, what has happened to the FBI. Even leftists now admit that maybe, just maybe, the FBI went a little too far and got a little too enthusiastic about their 'missions'

Setting our anger with them aside, can the FBI be saved? I'm interested in hearing, reading, thinking people's thoughts on it.
The FBI cannot be saved. If the institution is to survive it has to be gutted.

Bulldoze the thing and turn it into a ballpark for kids to play in.

Dismantled, and rebuilt in it's original capacity.

Patel ~

"The biggest problem the FBI has had, has come out of its intel shops. I'd break that component out of it. I'd shut down the FBI Hoover building on day one and reopen it the next day as a museum of the deep state," Patel said in a September interview on the conservative Shawn Ryan Show.
"And I'd take the 7,000 employees that work in that building and send them across America to chase down criminals. Go be cops. You're cops. Go be cops."

They didn't get enthusiastic about their missions.

The BuyTHem Administration WEAPONIZED the agency and used it to interfere in the elections and eliminate its opponents.

They created the Crossfire Hurricane Cartel and the same was controlled by BuyTHem and the DNC.

Interesting, he says much the same thing in his book (Chapter 8, 'Overhauling the FBI'), "We need to get the FBI the hell out of Washington D.C." and his reasoning for why we should do that makes perfect sense to me, although he doesn't really specify any details regarding exactly how he would go about implementing it.

Yea…Republicans are like that

Like I said
Democrats blame their member who is prosecuted
Republicans blame the FBI

Republicans used to be tough on crime.
Now, they don’t care if it is one of their own

I guess that explains why and how the FBI decided last year
{ Early November 2023 } to pick a new FBI Headquarters since
the J.Edgar Hoover FBI Building was in need of replacing.
It was crumbling. In 2018 Trump tried to have it replaced but
Covid was approaching. The new site picked was in Maryland.
Like Washington D.C. not a place for Conservatives. If former
RNC chair Michael Steele { 7th Lieutenant Governor of Maryland }
is cause celebre for concern. He's as rabid a Never Trumper as it gets.
Stationed nicely as a regular on MSNBC { The place to go
and be guest for all things Anti-Trump }.
The FBI has a checked past when it comes to being legit.
If the bloody fracas known as the
WACO Massacre is any telltale.

That's funny.I guess those stories { urban fiction }
about how Tough J.Edgar Hoover was.
Wearing woman's nighties and being openly gay.
In private naturally ... not during daylight raids.

Actual Crime we are tough on, not made up political bullshit.

Trump was notified multiple times to turn in his classified documents.
He responded he didn’t have any.

So the FBI came knocking and found numerous SECRET and TOP SECRET documents that were unprotected

Once again, Trump is responsible for what happened

Should The FBI Be Dismantled?

No

Just purge the Deep State ops

Hopefully most of the younger agents may not have been corrupted yet

The FBI catches pedos and other criminals. Hence the right wants it gone.

Yes, it is that simple. Criminal hellspawn hate any people who stop them from hurting others.

It's part of the general pattern where the Trump cult hates anything that's good and decent. That's why normal people hide their pets and children from Trump cultists.

The FBI is the most effective crime investigative agency in the world
The only reason Republicans want to disband them is because they dared to investigate Republicans.
Guess what? The FBI suspected Trump of storing Top Secret documents at Mara Lago and they found them
1. Faked evidence to get FISA warrant on Trump
2. Elvis Chen concealed evidence from Hunter's laptop and coordinated censorship about it
3. Strzok "we will stop him"
4. Spying on Catholics as domestic terrorists, even the "Sisters of the Poor"
5. Investigating parents as domestic terrorists for opposing school boards
6. Who planted pipe bombs on J6?
7. Who instigated J6? Hint: FBI informants
8. Who covered up the Two assassination attempts against Trump?
9. The FBI had access to the MAL documents early on, so why didn't they take them?
10. There are many more partisan examples of why the FBI needs a re-boot.
