Interesting Tidbit On Student Loan Forgiveness

You’re ridiculous.

But I‘m starting to see why you’re so hostile to me. You just claimed I’m rich. What I am is comfortable - through ingenuity, hard work, and disciplined investing.

And yes, the person who CREATES the business deserves to earn more than the staff. That’s the reward for taking the risk, and working 12 hours a day for a year to get it off the ground.

When “everyone” owns the business, the slackers ride the coattails of the better workers. So the slackers have no incentive to work harder, and the better workers figure why should I have to carry the weight of the slackers, and slow down.

Your utopian dream is a recipe for disaster.
Lisa is so confused, unfortunately. There's no such thing as "self-made" people in this world, everyone gets plenty of support from their family, friends, and society in general, which provides the infrastructure that allows someone to develop and cultivate their mind, to have "ingenuity" and work hard for a living wage. Society should make sure one's wage can sustain them, with food, housing..etc.

The person who creates the business with the money they got from the bank or from daddy, or from wherever they got it from, shouldn't have the right to exploit human labor, paying people less than what they produce. More, no one should work in an authoritarian environment, where the leadership is essentially unaccountable. Workers risk just as much, if not more than their wealthy employers (exploiters) and are just as vital to the productive enterprise as the capitalist, with his or her money. Try producing anything without human workers under capitalism (maybe with robots or AI), and see how long capitalism lasts. Production is always, a social endeavor, not a private one. This holds true under both capitalism and socialism.

Your last comments were cynical and truly RIDICULOUS. Tens of thousands of worker-owned cooperatives are operating in the UK and throughout Western Europe, and doing just fine. This capitalist polemic against the working class is quite pathetic and self-serving.

In order to be a member of most worker cooperatives, one has to meet certain requirements and standards, which include being trained in weekly classes about new skills, and business management. etc. If a worker-owner is lazy, you can be sure that the others will organize a meeting and inform that worker of their poor performance and what they need to improve. If that worker refuses to stop being lazy and get up to standard, they can lose membership in the cooperative. Every worker-owner knows this before they become a member of the cooperative. There are requirements and standards. Your cheap, disingenuous point is moot.

They were tricked into 6 figure loans as children. I know conservatives celebrate that as powerful colleges that behave as corporations squeezing the life out of a bunch of suckers, but the rest of us prefer there to be less misery in the world.
Tuition Is Bribery

This obsolete, heiristocratic, and failed way of producing white-collar workers is nothing more than buying a job, or having the student's Daddy buy it for him. This class-biased indentured servitude has put inferior people in superior positions. Being a success in a failed economy is nothing to be proud of.

Education should be tuition-free in public colleges anyways and it would be good for the economy if we canceled the debt of all of these young people. They've already been screwed by the older generation, gutting America of its manufacturing base, breaking up all of the labor unions, and creating the conditions for gross inequality, stagnant wages, and a high cost of living. America has already bailed out the wealthiest people in our society to the tune of trillions of dollars, so the least that we can do is forgive our children's student debts. It would indeed contribute positively to their standard of living, allowing them to save, build their credit and buy a home.
Sacrifice Has No Merit. It Is Nothing But Brown-Nosing.

Tuition-free still means you have to live the miserable and emasculating lifestyle of barely getting by on part-time low-paying jobs, which is suitable only for teenagers who are afraid to grow up.

For you capitalists, everything is FREE. You depend on the work of others for your income, you depend on bailouts from the government, contracts, subsidies, grants, non-interest loans, and tax cuts. You capitalist parasites are pathetic. The young workers who are now being burdened with unnecessary student debt are our future, the young generation that will make sure your old crusty ass will have goods and services to buy with your Social Security pension and doctors and nurses to take care of you, who are 20, 30+ years younger than you, and are of working age. The older generation screwed up this economy and the least that we can do is facilitate and better equip/empower them to work and have a decent life.

You right-wing leech loafers should think twice before you continue burdening our nation's youth with unnecessary financial burdens when they're the people who produce everything in this country. They're the American workforce.
In College, the Student Lives Like a Child. So He Graduates With the Mind of a Child.

The Left Wing wants a slavish mindset, especially from graduates who will get influential corporate jobs or work for the government in the higher GS levels. Not mentioning that students should be highly paid, not just get free tuition, shows you approve of the real problem with college education.

No, not really. Society should invest in its workforce, facilitating, equipping, and empowering the youth. They are our future, and this country needs American scientists, engineers, and other specialists, or our country will collapse. Education, whether college or vocational training, is vital to our national security.

Our ability to compete with China and Russia hinges upon us having a robust pool of well-trained workers. A country with a well-educated and skilled citizenry is much more likely to survive and thrive than one without that. Education in public colleges should be tuition-free or at least, much more affordable. And yes, we should forgive all student debt. Lifting that burden off of the American workforce, will increase our GDP and help us compete in this new high-tech world, against some very powerful and dangerous countries.

Without it, they couldn't go to school. Society should provide everyone with an education, from kindergarten to college. It's an investment in our future, as a nation, with a 1000-fold return. Without a well-educated and skilled populace, we can't "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN".
For a Corporation to Do This Would Be Equivalent to a Team Getting the Whole First Round of Draft Choices

"Everyone"? That's as stupid as the college coaches demanding that every student participate in their sports. Just as in sports, the funding and promotion to a higher level should go to the best and only to the best.

Besides, it shouldn't be government money. Corporations should recruit and sign up the most talented high-school graduates, not only paying for their tuition, but giving them a salary more than anyone else at that age can expect to make.

The New York Yankee corporation gave Derek Jeter a million dollars to put himself through the minor leagues, which, whether you are able to understand analogies or not, is baseball's exact equivalent of college education. Over and above that signing bonus and Jeter's salary for 20 years, the Yankees' return on investment was 250 million dollars.

Our children borrowed the money because they didn't have a choice. It was either borrow the money or not go to college, you fucking Republican shithead. Whose going to administer medical care to your old crusty retired ass when you need it? The fucking tooth fairy? The ghost of Jackie Gleason from the Honey Mooners, is going to show up and care for you when you're sick in the hospital? Who the hell is going to make sure we live in a modern, high-tech society? Your swollen prostate? Who? What? Our children. Asshole!

You were raised in an America where you could go to college for peanuts. One breadwinner could support the family. 1/3rd of the American workforce was unionized. My grandfather, in 1965, bought a house with a huge backyard and fruit trees, cash, without a mortgage, working a blue-collar job, spraying fiberglass on boat molds for Bertram Yachts. That America is GONE, thanks to Republican assholes like you. So much for "family values"!

Now mom has to work too. Family values my ass! I was a lachkey kid. I raised myself, because when I would get home, the house was empty. It was me and my brothers and friends, up to no good. No guidance. MTV, video games, Mary and Juana, Dungeons and Dragons, no mom, even grandma, and grandpa had to work in the 1980s. "Thanks" Republicans, for your "Family Values". Jerks!

Education should be tuition-free or at least affordable.

Stop! Pay Students for Their Grades or It Discredits Your Whole Essay

Everyone that wants to go to college or vocational school, or get any type of job training, should be able to go to a public school and get that education, tuition-free. We now spend almost 100 billion yearly subsidizing corporations like Monsanto and EXXON, and education would cost around that, but unlike those corporate subsidies, it would yield a HUGE return. The return on our investment is 1000-fold.

China isn't communist you dummy. Have you ever read Marx? Obviously not. China is a mutant freak. Communism is a stateless society, without socioeconomic classes or the need for money. Does that sound like China? According to Marx, socialism is the process that leads production to a communist society. High Communism is the goal of socialism, but it only emerges with very advanced technology. The USSR and China were socialist countries. The USSR collapsed when it began introducing market reforms to placate the United States and end the Cold War and China refused to properly industrialize as Russia did, remaining a backward agrarian socialist state. Capitalism has its Haiti and Uganda, and Socialism had its China.

China today is "socialist" or "communist" only in name. They're the furthest thing from that. They're just an oppressive, trash regime, that exploits its workers and depends heavily on foreign trade. It's disgusting. The only way we can compete with China is by rebuilding our manufacturing base and becoming independent in every way, politically and economically. That is the only way to America Great Again.

We can start by lifting the debt burden off of our youth and allowing them to build this country.
Unpaid Education Is for Coolies. That's Why Asians Do So Well in Our Colleges.

Everyone who wants to go to college
Suicide Through Status Quo

That means it's for wannabes. Just like playing college football, it should not be a choice. The student has to be chosen.

Just as inherited ownership does, unpaid education contradicts and eventually destroys Capitalism. Socialism is just a hostile takeover of Capitalism by its own HeirHeads.

No you stupid punk, it doesn't matter if Mao was once the leader of China. China is no longer following Mao, but rather state capitalism. It's a brutal dictatorship that serves vested interests just like the United States. Over 90% of the "Communist Party" of China is comprised of millionaires. There are more millionaires in China's "Communist Party" than in our own Congress. Marxist socialism and communism isn't what you or I say it is, it's what Marx and Engels wrote.

Communism is a stateless society, without socioeconomic classes or the need for money. Is China that? No.
Communism Is Capitalism, Jr.

It's easy to pervert your cherished ideas; that's their appeal to opportunists. Despite their theories, the originators of your thought were power-hungry control-freak HeirHeads.

"Adulting" includes forgiving your children after you've screwed them up and allowing them to succeed. If the wealthiest in our society can get bailed out every few years, then our children can too. Education should be tuition free anyways, or at least affordable, so your point is moot.
Since an Unpaid Student Lives Like a Child, He Has a Desperate Need to See His Professors As Infallible Father-Figures

Your motivation is to get even more of these childish escapist students being brainwashed by their Leftist professors.
