Interesting statistics on school shootings

This is more or less old news, but it's good to hear Dr. Ardis update the data.

Even 15 years ago those of us paying attention to such things knew there was a connection to SSRI type drugs. No matter the drugs, a fair number of such mass casualty events, Sandy Hook, Boston Bombing and others, were staged events meant to lay the groundwork for gun control laws.

That insanity is now unwinding

Do you really believe that medical science has all the answers? What is medicine for one might to poison to another. And the shootings really started happening in the 1990's, which is in line with when people began to get medicated.
Coincided with legalized so-called medical marijuana.

Results

There was no statistical significance in any of the analyses demonstrating that SSRI use led to an increased risk of aggression in this sample of inpatients.

Most school shooters are not depressed so they wouldnt be on an SSRI
Link? BTW, are you saying the mfrs. are lying in their warnings and they did no tests?

Its been researched there is no evidence SSRIs cause aggressive behavior. If you think it dies youre likely need to be on them and need an excuse to refuse

There was no statistical significance in any of the analyses demonstrating that SSRI use led to an increased risk of aggression in this sample of inpatients.

Conclusion

The FDA warning of increased risk of suicidality and case reports of aggression potentially associated with the use of certain antidepressants should not prevent prescribers from treating adult patients with SSRI medications.

Again. Linkie. What is your source? Link it--not a repeat of the same unsupported post that I asked for a link for. We already know what your conclusions are. They are contrary to the mfrs. warnings that undoubtedly have the support of their research.

Thats because they have mental illness in the first place. Cite the study because it’s not 100%. School shooters have one or more of 3 diagnosis. Psychosis, psychopath, trauma. Antidepressants are not used for psychosis or psychopaths. The medications dont cause violence. They are mentally ill and violent already. Thats like say9ng 100% of them ate a hamburger so burgers are the cause.
This is such a horrible defense. I’m actually laughing at you.

.

Minneapolis trans shooter WORKED in a MJ dispensary.

.
“The Minneapolis shooter, Robin Westman, explicitly blamed his actions on the destabilizing effects of his gender transition and marijuana use, writing in a note that his mother’s warnings against transitioning and his heavy cannabis consumption “f*cked up my head.” ”
“In a handwritten note recovered from Westman, he explicitly confessed: "I cannot control myself and have been destroying my body through vaping and other means."”

He even admitted in his manifesto that pot contributed to his violence problem. Media focused on the tranny part but omitted the pot part.
Self diagnosis? He isn't qualified to make that determination. However his admitted pot usage should have precluded his ability to obtain a firearm.

Then lots of gun owners would have to relinquish their firearms.
I think most people are their own best judges of pain, physical and otherwise.
Why are potheads so resistant to information?

We can't ban guns after a school shooting, so we should ban pot, SSRIs and other antidepressants instead.

Never let a crisis go to waste.

True, firearms owners who don't meet the requirements outlined on the FF form should have to relinquish their firearms. Why do we have laws if we aren't going to enforce them?

Its valid research if you disagree you have to prove it. Or tell us why you refuse your medication
