Spending an additional $739 billion on stuff that will not add to our production of goods and services is NOT going to reduce inflation. To the contrary, it will make it worse. Democrats do not appear to understand the concept of inflation, namely that you have too much money chasing too little goods and services (production). Most of that money is going to end up in the pockets of the wealthy democrat donors/supporters, just like the Obama stimulus bill did back in 2009. And those tax hikes are not going to help economic growth either.

You realize the legislative branch doesn't have a quota of bills they're REQUIRED to pass, right? They're also permitted to exercise restraint and not pass a bill.

Of course I know there is no quota and many bills do not get passed.
If they are going to pass something, and lord knows as much as this administration has screwed up, they are dying to pass something they can point to, as fighting inflation, if it does not make it worse, this is a better bill to pass. I cannot get too excited, either way. Like I said, this is just a compromise negotiation gig, maybe never heard of again a month from now, and can fail to get support necessary to pass also.

You need to make clear what Republican Party did to support the middle class and the working poor. The Ryan, McConnell and Trump Federal Income Tax Reform is the third iteration of trickle down/voodoo economics, the the GOP rejected a raise in the minimum wage too.

The Democratic Party passed the ACA / Obamacare and protected not only the health of the people, but their pocket book too.
