We estimate a lower-bound reduction in revenue for exempting all overtime pay from the individual income tax of $680.4 billion over 10 years on a conventional basis. This latest proposal would increase Trump’s already promised $6.1 trillion in tax cuts to $6.8 trillion and raise the total deficit increase of his entire tax and tariff plan to $2.0 trillion over 10 years. Further exempting all overtime pay from employee-side payroll taxes (6.2 percent for Social Security and 1.45 percent for Medicare) combined with the income tax exemption would reduce tax revenues by $1.1 trillion over 10 years.

Same principle with unemployment compensation. No matter how long the period is - 13 weeks, 26 weeks, whatever - there’s a big jump in people finding a job just a week or two before their unemployment runs out.

Trumps policies didn't increase inflation the first time, why would they the second? We know Harris Bidens policies increased inflation, we saw it skyrocket from 1.8 to over 9%.

So I'd rather 4 years of an administration that gave us 1.9% inflation over one that gave us 9% inflation.

These guys don't understand that inflation is cumulative.

In other words if you have something that inflates from $1 to $10 you have 900 percent inflation. If in the next year it goes up to $11 where is the joy in celebrating the decrease of rate from 900% inflation to merely 10 % inflation?

It didn't make the object anymore affordable and in fact did exactly the opposite but the number looks good compared to its previous component. It's stupid to celebrate the decrease in the rate because it does not represent more affordability.

Yes, there are millions of single mothers on welfare, and they can take jobs. There is a project less than a mile from me, and the only people I see there are women and their children - many teenagers. Why cant a woman with three teens get a job instead of collecting all sorts of welfare?

Many single mothers on Section 8 and food stamps do have jobs, the problem is that the minimum wage job that they are on is not enough for them to maintain a household.
