The Biden/Harris economy is smoking with record low unemployment and now inflation within .1% of the Feds goal. This is just in time for trump to come into office and screw up everything with Musk promising pain for middle class and RFK Jr promising to return the US to the bad old days of no vaccinations and limits on medical care.

Hi Super. You're on the right road but you're missing a little. Mothers working and getting assistance are NOT the problem and frankly most of those are what I would call "the deserving poor"; an old but accurate term. Now if the deadbeat Dads coughed up child support then I would be chuffed and the kids would be better off. That is what Lisa is saying and I think she makes the point well.

Now what I would like to see is co-parenting with the dad at home with his kids as that is a happier situation but of course that is not always gonna happen. It SHOULD be encouraged.

I just had lunch yesterday at a Mexican restaurant where I would always get the $9.99 weekday special - two cheese enchiladas, rice, and beans. It was now $14.99, and the soda went up from $3 to $4. What had previously been an inexpensive $18 lunch (with tax and tip) is now $26 - for a cheapie Mexican lunch.

Considering how much more I’m paying for groceries this days, I won’t be going to the Mexican restaurant again.

I stopped eating out years ago. The high prices gave me indigestion.
