This is just in time for trump to come into office and screw up everything with Musk promising pain for middle class and RFK Jr promising to return the US to the bad old days of no vaccinations and limits on medical care.

I just had lunch yesterday at a Mexican restaurant where I would always get the $9.99 weekday special - two cheese enchiladas, rice, and beans. It was now $14.99, and the soda went up from $3 to $4. What had previously been an inexpensive $18 lunch (with tax and tip) is now $26 - for a cheapie Mexican lunch.

Considering how much more I’m paying for groceries this days, I won’t be going to the Mexican restaurant again.

The Wife and I are going out with Friends tonight, to the Local Steakhouse.
I plan on having Steak and Lobster, a Margarita and the bill for the 2 of us will be just under $100.

No, I can’t! But I’m also not suggesting they’re a vast well of untapped labor.

You really need to think about this before demanding the deportation of millions of workers (often times very hard workers with skills). There are consequences you haven’t seriously considered.

Why do you think the only way to get money to children is by taking it from other people? Let their mothers work and the fathers pay child support!

There’s lots of problems. First, who takes care of the kids? Childcare is expensive. Women can get priced out of jobs because it costs more to send them to daycare. Second, a lot of them do have jobs but don’t make very much. Having kids is expensive. Third, fathers have a nasty habit of not paying child support.

It’s fascinating how your whole plan for filling the jobs vacated by illegal immigrants is to make single mothers do them. Just absolutely astoundingly out of touch.
