Inflation falls to 2.1%!

The Biden/Harris economy is smoking with record low unemployment and now inflation within .1% of the Feds goal. This is just in time for trump to come into office and screw up everything with Musk promising pain for middle class and RFK Jr promising to return the US to the bad old days of no vaccinations and limits on medical care.
/----/ 125% inflation in four years is nothing to brag about, Gomer. We can't pay bills with Joy.

So we’ve had major inflation over the past few years to where people are struggling to buy groceries, and prices are STILL creeping up on top of that?
Stop being a drama queen. If you’re literally “struggling” to buy groceries you need to get your shit together

My parents who are on social security and live on a very tight fixed income always have a fridge full of food

Of course, Republicans will continue to lie about the economy being ‘bad.’

And any continued high prices are the result of corporate gouging and resellers keeping costs artificially high.
You’re falling for that BS? Grocery stores run on a tiny margin of about 2%. They’re entitled to make some profit. If you force them to cut prices, they won’t make a profit - and stop selling.

Can’t you stupid leftists learn from mistakes? Price-fixing leads to food shortages.

Did I say I was atruggling? I said PEOPLE are struggling.

Why do you selfish liberals only think in terms of yourselves?

Are you THAT insensitive to the struggles of your fellow Americans? The entire working class.
The increase is food prices is a hardship, but to say people are “struggling to buy groceries” is hyperbole

No one’s cupboards are bare

More than 47 million people in the US face hunger, including 1 in 5 children. · In 2022 alone, 49 million people turned to food assistance for extra help.

Now we are arguing over what “struggle” means?

My grandparents did not have empty shelves during the Depression, either. But it was a struggle to keep everyone fed, and they had to make sacrifices elsewhere.

Stop minimizing the struggles the working class is feeling under Bidenomics. Some parents are even skipping meals in order to feed their kids. They are skipping beef altogether.

They’re not hungry because of inflation. Those are vulnerable people who are disabled, elderly or children who aren’t part of the workforce and were already on the outside looking in

Thank you. Half the people in American are having financial hardships as a result of Bidenomics, and the liberal upthread wants to split hairs over the meaning of the word “struggle,”

It’s like asking what the meaning of is is.

the current situation is absolutely nothing like the Great Depression. You’re exaggerating again.

A lot more people who were comfortably middle-class are not making sacrifices elsewhere due to their high grocery and energy bills.

That’s what socialism does: it destroys the middle class.

I didn’t say it was. I’m pointing out that the lack of empty shelves doesn’t mean one isn’t struggling to keep them stocked.

Stop minimizing the pain people are feeling as a result of Biden’s spending and other policies,

Words mean things, and I responded.

Inflation is additive dumbass, it compounds. Biden's is 20.1% and Trump's 7.1%

Funny how you forgot to include wages on these graphs. Seems kind of important, no?

Did I say I was atruggling? I said PEOPLE are struggling.
Remember when we wanted to raise minimum wage and conservatives were outraged? Yeah. They said that it’s important to keep minimum wage low and that if people struggled to make ends meet, then it’s their own fault for not working harder and getting a better job.

You guys don’t really care about working class people. You just care about having something to blame Dems with to win an election.

$17.99 and you gave a one penny tip, right.
You guys laugh this off. When the economy gets poor enough anyone on any medicine will have it rationed. Many will laugh then. There will be priorities on the type of medical issues over other medical issues.

I am sure you did not live as a wage earner in the 1970s and 1980s when it was really tough.

They only remember that when the GOP is in power.
