Inflation falls to 2.1%!

I didn’t say it was. I’m pointing out that the lack of empty shelves doesn’t mean one isn’t struggling to keep them stocked.

Stop minimizing the pain people are feeling as a result of Biden’s spending and other policies,
it all started in 2020 when supply lines collapsed due to a pandemic, do try to stick to the truth fer once.

/----/ 125% inflation in four years is nothing to brag about, Gomer. We can't pay bills with Joy.

you suck at math

The inflation rate in the United States in 2023 was 4.12%, which is a 3.89% decrease from 2022. The inflation rate in 2022 was 8.00%, which was a 3.3% increase from 2021. The inflation rate in 2021 was 4.70%, which was a 3.46% increase from 2020.

The inflation rate can be calculated by subtracting the CPI of the start date from the CPI of the end date, dividing that number by the CPI of the start date, and then multiplying that number by 100 and adding a percent sign.

Inflation can have a significant impact on purchasing power. For example, if someone has a current income of $50,000 per year and assumes a 4% inflation rate, they would need the equivalent of $162,170 to maintain the same standard of living in 30 years.

Yes, wages in the United States have generally been rising faster than inflation for more than two years:

  • Inflation and wage growth
In August 2024, inflation was 2.5%, while wages grew by 4.6%. The inflation rate has not been higher than the rate of wage growth since January 2023.

  • Wage growth compared to inflation
From April 2022 to April 2024, wages rose 8.8% compared to inflation at 8.5%.

  • Wage growth since the pandemic
Since the beginning of the pandemic, average hourly earnings increased 22.3%, while the Consumer Price Index increased 20.8%.

However, wages have not kept up with inflation for all workers:

  • Paychecks behind
In education, construction, and financial activities, paychecks are furthest behind.

  • Retail sector
Pay in the retail sector has fallen behind after increasing at a faster rate than inflation.

  • Worker sentiment
Almost two in three workers got a pay increase this year, but say they lost ground to inflation.

Vaccinations? How about the question of which Trump promise he will honour, that brings the 'efforts' to save democracy?

I think pardoning some or most of the insurrectionists sitting in jails will be more than enough.

Think about it Americans! Trump will have taken down the law and your Constitution.
Real inflation is much higher but its an election cycle and Biden has to have good numbers.

THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE THIS ELECTION IS THE INVASION OF THE USA BY MILLIONS OF UNVETTED INVADERS AND BIDEN IS BEHIND IT. Rent is skyrocketing due to illegals, schools and hospitals are on the verge of bankruptcy and CAN SOMEBODY REMIND ME WHY WE NEED 100 MILLION MORE PEOPLE when we have Seniors that cannot afford drugs and millions of Americans living in cars and on the streets ???

If you are young and vote for the Deep State ( Harris) u r screwed and you will be living in your moms basement when you are 40.

Why yes, in 1974, I took the class that told me I'd need over a million dollars to retire. It is no surprise that 2020 was another trigger in inflation due to supply lines crashing or being delayed due to the National Health Emergency enacted by Donald Trump.

How is Trump taking down the Constitution by using the presidential pardon power, defined in the Constitution?...lol

/——/ Either Trump enacted or ignored the pandemic. Which is it.

Rent has been going up for decades. In 1983 I paid $150 a month fer an apartment.

Stupid fucking democrats don't realize that yes, people are still buying food. They have to to survive. But OTHER things suffer, like sales of new cars have plummeted because they're spending twice as much on food and don't have disposable income for anything else. Everyone I know is suffering because of Joeflation. Groceries that used to cost 75 now cost 150. My parents are on a fixed income and said they used to spend 150 a week on food for their household, now its 300 every time they go to Wal Mart.

As a result, my father has not been able to go fishing, as the boat needs new batteries and he has no income left over to buy 300 dollars worth of batteries for his 47 year old bass boat.

My homeowners insurance was 930 dollars for a decade, including under Trump. Under Biden he's gone up up up, all the way to 1800 the last bill I got that's due in November. I've never made a claim. My water bill was 10 dollars a month for a decade, including under Trump. Under Biden I'm getting multiple notices a year that it will be going up, and now its 19 dollars a month and I use a couple hundred gallons a month. While 9 dollars doesn't break the bank, it all adds up. Under Trump, I bought a 3/4 ton truck, bass boat, paid off my mortgage. Under 4 years of Biden, I've bought NOTHING. I can't afford anything. Under Trump, my pay went from 25cpm to 50 cpm, doubling. Under Biden, I have a 1 or 2 penny a mile raise that I had to threaten to quit to get. I am making less now, with inflation taken into account, than I did my first year of driving a truck.

Yea, the economy SUCKS under Biden.

What are y’all going to do when Trump deports all the illegal immigrants who work in the food supply chain?

Remember when we wanted to raise minimum wage and conservatives were outraged? Yeah. They said that it’s important to keep minimum wage low and that if people struggled to make ends meet, then it’s their own fault for not working harder and getting a better job.

You guys don’t really care about working class people. You just care about having something to blame Dems with to win an election.
Raising minimum wage doesn’t help anything. It just drives the costs on everything up, and you’re in the same place.

That’s pretty illogical clearly haven’t thought about this in any quantitative way.
