Americans who are on welfare can take those jobs. What are y’all going to do when Trump deports all the illegal immigrants who work in the food supply chain?
YOU haven’t thought about this in any quantitative way. That’s pretty illogical clearly haven’t thought about this in any quantitative way.
No, salaries don’t go up for everyone else. That’s not “parity”. That makes no sense and doesn’t even conform with the definition of the word parity.YOU haven’t thought about this in any quantitative way.
If you raise the minimum wage on the lowest, then salaries go up throughout the entire chain in order to maintain parity. That means the costs of operating the business go way up, and in order to continue to make a profit, they need to raise prices.
Inflation isn’t bad enough for you? That $10 McDonalds meal isn’t high enough? Raise the minimum wage, and it will be $15.
Besides which…..only about 2% of the workers earn minimum wage. The working class earns substantially more, which was fine under Trump. But with Biden’s jump of 25% on prices, the working class is struggling.
Even the formerly upper-middle class is having to cut back elsewhere.
What welfare? Which Americans? Where are they?Americans who are on welfare can take those jobs.
^^^ These idiot Dems act like all able-bodied Americans have a job and the only way to get food workers is via illegal aliens. The truth is that we have an entire welfare class content to live off the government dole, and THEY can take those jobs. What are y’all going to do when Trump deports all the illegal immigrants who work in the food supply chain?
I just don’t think this “welfare class” exists in the way you claim it does.^^^ These idiot Dems act like all able-bodied Americans have a job and the only way to get food workers is via illegal aliens. The truth is that we have an entire welfare class content to live off the government dole, and THEY can take those jobs.
It would be a win-win. We’d save $150 billion a year not have to support illegals, and we’d cut the taxpayer cost of welfare substantially.
See? This is the problem with Dems who have no business experience. If I own a business and employ a high school grad to do grunt work at $12 an hour, and a receptionist to answer phones and do basic computer entry at $18 an hour, a new college grad as a junior accountant at $25 an hour, and a well-experienced accountant at $40 an hour, what happens if I’m forced to pay the high school kid $15?No, salaries don’t go up for everyone else. That’s not “parity”. That makes no sense and doesn’t even conform with the definition of the word parity.
Through market forces - not artificial forces. But thanks for admitting rising wages causes inflation.
Isn’t that exactly what Trump and Vance are telling us is going to happen when they deport all the illegal aliens in this country?

US inflation falls to 2.1%, almost hitting Federal Reserve target
New figures could strengthen Harris’s pitch for presidency, even though half of voters believe US to be in recessionwww.theguardian.com
The Biden/Harris economy is smoking with record low unemployment and now inflation within .1% of the Feds goal. This is just in time for trump to come into office and screw up everything with Musk promising pain for middle class and RFK Jr promising to return the US to the bad old days of no vaccinations and limits on medical care.
Show us when we were energy dominant, show the stats proving that. When Trump wins, Gd-willing, he can make us energy dominant again and lower the underlying expense of delivering goods to market.
So, if no one showed up and bought that 26-dollar lunch would it go back to 18-dollars?I just had lunch yesterday at a Mexican restaurant where I would always get the $9.99 weekday special - two cheese enchiladas, rice, and beans. It was now $14.99, and the soda went up from $3 to $4. What had previously been an inexpensive $18 lunch (with tax and tip) is now $26 - for a cheapie Mexican lunch.
Considering how much more I’m paying for groceries this days, I won’t be going to the Mexican restaurant again.
Has salaries kept up with inflation over the last 20yrs?See? This is the problem with Dems who have no business experience. If I own a business and employ a high school grad to do grunt work at $12 an hour, and a receptionist to answer phones and do basic computer entry at $18 an hour, a new college grad as a junior accountant at $25 an hour, and a well-experienced accountant at $40 an hour, what happens if I’m forced to pay the high school kid $15?
The receptionist earning $18 wants a raise to at least $21 since a $3 different isn’t enough, and then the junior accountant wants $30, and the more experienced accountant wants $45.
That’s a BIG increase in my compensation costs, and I will have to raise my fees.
Through market forces - not artificial forces.
I really wish Dems had to take a basic Econ class before voting.
They can want what they want. You don’t have to pay them what they want.See? This is the problem with Dems who have no business experience. Mass deportations is pretty artificial. You’re creating an artificial labor shortage.Through market forces - not artificial forces.
I really wish Dems had to take a basic Econ class before voting.
So you’re saying the inferior illegals can take the crap jobs? No bigotry there!I just don’t think this “welfare class” exists in the way you claim it does.
I’ve asked repeatedly about information about these people but never receive any answer.
Almost all able bodied Americans who want jobs already have jobs. Unemployment is 4%. Americans don’t want to work the jobs illegal immigrants are working, that’s why they’re employing illegal immigrants.
Not overall, but it was only during Trump’s presidency that working class wages saw a REAL increase.Has salaries kept up with inflation over the last 20yrs?
Can you explain exactly what you mean by “welfare”? Please be specific. What government programs are they living off of?So you’re saying the inferior illegals can take the crap jobs? No bigotry there!
And unemployment at 4% doesn’t mean everyone except 4% have a job. It means that only 4% of those looking for a job can’t find one. We have millions on welfare who don’t count toward the 4% since they are content to just live off of OPM. Why can’t THEY take the jobs the illegals were doing?
After all, we have plenty of high school dropouts with minimal skills on welfare. Now they can be contributing members of society instead of takers, and we save on welfare payments AND the cost of supporting the illegals.
I wish you could see your own ignorance. They can want what they want. You don’t have to pay them what they want.
Mass deportations is pretty artificial. You’re creating an artificial labor shortage.
But whether through market or artificial, inflation is inflation. Doesn’t make any difference to the consumer.
I wish you could see through your propaganda and indoctrination.
I don’t know all the programs, but I know they get rent subsidies, cash for each child, food stamps, and free medical care via Medicaid. All are paid for by taxpayers. Can you explain exactly what you mean by “welfare”? Please be specific. What government programs are they living off of?
Show us how wages jumped during Trump. Not overall, but it was only during Trump’s presidency that working class wages saw a REAL increase.
You do know what is meant by the word REAL, I hope.
Still looking for evidence of these Americans on welfare.I wish you could see your own ignorance.
How will there be a labor shortage when we have millions of Americans not working and just living off welfare?
Do you have a link proving that?I don’t know all the programs, but I know they get rent subsidies, cash for each child, food stamps, and free medical care via Medicaid. All are paid for by taxpayers.
Few if any of those programs are available to able bodied people who are choosing not to work. Almost all of it goes to seniors, the disabled and children.I don’t know all the programs, but I know they get rent subsidies, cash for each child, food stamps, and free medical care via Medicaid. All are paid for by taxpayers.
