I don't see a lot of disputing of the idea an armed citizen can prevent a crime.

I do see a lot of concern about the sale of assault grade weapons. I don't own a gun, but that's more a personal choice related to the fact I'd be a terrible klutz of shot. I'm in favor of handgun ownership and concealed carry. I'm very much not in favor of assault weapons and high volume ammunition clips.
