Yes, it has been happening for ages but all extremes are bad. If you look at the graph, you will notice a strong upturn when Trump took office. That is an extreme that will get even MORE EXTREME this time around. Do you like extremes that go against YOU?
The health & well being of the middle & lower class will be sacrificed on the alter of more mega wealth sucked up by people like Musk with another corporate & income tax cut mostly sucked by the top 1%. Trump is so corrupt & amoral all bets are off with that dirtbag because he's immune from prosecution.

By the time they're done if they get away with it, we'll be living in a carbon copy of India.

That's what the idiot MAGA mob voted for.

If Elon’s net worth goes up $10 billion how does that make you worse off, Lunatic?

You should have realized that it was a typo!

I did make a mistake, it was actually more (not less) loss:

More pain than gain: How the US-China trade war hurt America

A September 2019 study by Moody’s Analytics found that the trade war had already cost the U.S. economy nearly 300,000 jobs and an estimated 0.3% of real GDP. Other studies put the cost to U.S. GDP at about 0.7%. A 2019 report from Bloomberg Economics estimated that the trade war would cost the U.S. economy $316 billion by the end of 2020, while more recent research from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and Columbia University found that U.S. companies lost at least $1.7 trillion in the price of their stocks as a result of U.S. tariffs imposed on imports from China

Trump is all about "my way or the highway". I can show you how time after time over the past 8 years, it has been the Democrats willing to compromise more than the Republicans.
Go ahead and show where the Democrats were willing to "compromise", Lucky! Have you forgotten what Barack Obama told the GOP at the beginning of his first term? "Elections have consequences...I won!" Then he ignored the GOP's views. Fast forward to his second term when the people voted out Democrats in the Senate. Did THAT election have consequences? Not for Barry and the Democrats. He informed us all that he had a pen and that he would push his agenda through with Executive Actions!

What concerns most of us more than income inequality is appearance inequality.

How is it fair that some people look like Gal Godot and Ryan Reynolds while others have to look like Thelma Ritter and Ernest Borgnine?

If Elon’s net worth goes up $10 billion how does that make you worse off, Lunatic?
Maybe you think it's ok for Musk to use his influence with the subhuman to increase his wealth & to undo regulations that affect his bottom line because they're now assbuddy's, but not everyone agrees. Think Musk handed all that cash to your favorite conman because he likes him, halfwit?

I like clean air & water. Apparently you don't care about such things, dick cheese.

Guess what? .......... YOU LOST!

Before I address your statement, do you ever do any research before saying something that puts you in a situation of being proven wrong and ignorant?

AI Overview

When considering inflation, the lower 20% of the income population is generally not considered to be doing significantly better than in 1980, with many studies indicating that real wages for low-income earners have largely stagnated or even declined over the past few decades, leading to a widening income inequality gap; while recent years have seen some faster wage growth for low-wage workers, it has not fully compensated for past stagnation.

When adjusted for inflation, the middle class in the United States is generally considered to be doing somewhat better than in 1980, with real median incomes increasing by between 5% and 30% depending on the analysis, though the rate of increase has been slower compared to higher income brackets; however, the relative purchasing power of middle-class income compared to housing costs has significantly decreased over the same period.

According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the income of the top 2% in the United States has grown significantly more than inflation over the past 50 years, with estimates suggesting an increase of over 300% when adjusted for inflation, meaning their real purchasing power has substantially increased.
Thank you for backing up my statement.

Why are Democratic voters more approving of compromise than Republicans?

Compromise looks different to Ds and Rs

Our starting point is that not everyone views it the same way.

Pollsters have found that most voters support their elected officials compromising rather than sticking to principle when forced to make the choice. But among those who prefer sticking to principle, a disproportionate percentage are Republicans. Republicans, it seems, are more worried about their representatives being compromised, which they do not see as a good thing.

Democrats are more sanguine about compromise in government and considerably more likely to view the ability to compromise as a virtue when evaluating their representatives.

To illustrate: In a 2014 Pew survey, 64 percent of Democrats and 49 percent of Republicans agreed with the statement, “I like elected officials who "make compromises with people they disagree with” rather than elected officials who “stick to their positions.”

In a 2015 survey conducted for Al Jazeera America, when asked “What causes more problems in the federal government?” 71 percent of Democrats and 40 percent of Republicans chose “elected officials who are not willing to compromise” as opposed to “elected officials who are not willing to stand up for their principles.”

This nonsense has been debunked 100 times. Carter tanked the economy. Reagan cleaned it up. Democrat Congress tanked the economy in the early 90s. The GOP Congress brought it back in the latter half of the decade. Democrats caused the Great Recession, blamed Bush, 0bama was in office for the inevitable rebound, then Trump won the election, and the stock market skyrocketed immediately. But since 0bummer was technically still president your asinine chart gives him credit for the Trump-inspired economy that gained 10% as of Inauguration Day 2017. Same thing happening now. Markets are hot because of Trump's anticipated victory, and have continued hot after the election, but your asinine chart somehow gives Biden the credit, even though he has no idea where he is.

Whenever I ask a Democrat what exact policies Democrats did to create jobs and raise the stock market, they can never tell me.

So you have no answer.

Got it.

It's a leftwing Marxist site. Got it.

You NEVER stop finding excuses, don't you?

I am going to say one "general" thing about life that will immediately prove you wrong

No one and nothing is ever perfect. Humanity is flawed by nature.

Of all the posts I have put up with data, statistics, and facts, never ONCE have you ever acknowledged one of those being correct? Not once, meaning that you think you are 100% correct all the time.

Given that is an impossibility, it proves that you are biased and a 100% critic looking exclusively to prove me wrong (no interest in data, statistics, or facts). it means your posts (such as this one with your leftwing Marxist comment) is not trying to debate but purely trying to debase.

Anyone that believes they are 100% right, usually is more wrong than right.

Having said all of the above and you never debating, puts you on the list on people that waste my time.

You are now #10 on my ignore list of people not having anything worth listening to. Bye

Im sorry you feel that way, but it's just preposterous to say 98% of Americans are no better off than in 1980. From a technological vantage 1980 was the dark ages compared to now. No computers then. We have everything under the sun today. The Iphone is a huge difference. Everybody has one. People can talk and see one another instantaneously from anywhere. Remember long-distance bills back then? Remember having to reverse the charges? Cars then were terrible and unreliable compared to now, and most families owned only one. What were major purchases back then are better-performing and cheap to the point of being disposable today. Vacuum cleaners and lawnmowers to name two. Houses had to be painted then. Today we have quality siding that lasts for decades. Ditto roofs. The only things that are worse today are so because leftwing government regulation forced it. Examples of that are treated lumber and HVAC units,

Stop treating these silly leftwing sites like they're truthful and serious. Just look at the world around you instead.
